viltrumites wouldn’t work in dc natively due to the existence of the guardians of Oa,new gods like darkseid and the fact there are alot of overpowered alien species in DC when compared to invincibles own setting.
viltrumites would’ve been made extinct by Oa using the manhunters long before mark was even born if they had to exist alongside the rest of DC.
and that’s the most obvious bad end i could think of.
One way I could see them existing in DC is if they had a similar deal with Oa as the Reach does in the Young Justice show, where they have their own separate sector of space and can't legally invade other worlds unless invited.
that’d detract from the viltrumite si or protagonist uniqueness which is also something i hate in fanfics/stories.
it’d still be stupid and lazy and now you’d have to explain exactly why nobody else in DC or Marvel up until now interacted with them.
basically lazy writing and nobody would like having their own universe intruded upon with characters that aren’t native.
Viltrumites in the setting of the YJ show would be interesting. Mark would fit in nicely with the Team, though he'd be more tame I'd imagine since ya know.. killing isn't exactly encouraged.
Viltrumites probably would consider Kryptonians the only other race as their equal, or at least until they learn they are only so good under a specific type of sunlight.
Oa’s guardians are jobbers until the writers realizes they aren’t jobbers and needs to use them as a badly written excuse for why x alien race like burning martians or kryptonians didn’t end up taking over their respective universe.

their sister race the controllers built the miracle machine a literal wish granting omnipotent device.
if the guardians weren’t lazy and made idiotic due to writers they could use their reality warping definitely not magic technology to solve everyones problems and create a literal paradise.
they do have a weakness with soundwaves but its a particular frequency and nobody but their own race would ever know about it.
and its not even really fatal like kryptonite.

Mark would get used for shock value than shoved into a small corner of the DCU like every other character DC acquired over the past 80 years.
I want to see Invincible x MHA actually, particularly seeing Nolan, becomes a writer and also a part-time/substitute teacher in U.A highschool. I also want to see if anime friendship can stop Nolan from his rampage.
