She got caught in multiple lies when the police interrogated her, mostly because she didn't realize they'd found the recording until they confronted her with it.
She's supposed to go on trial for second degree murder next month and there's rumors her lawyer is going to use a battered woman defense, which doesn't hold up particularly well when you remember the previously mentioned abuse charges against the guy (police records indicate she had been charged after beating and strangling the boyfriend).
Places don't need to be completely airtight to lack enough oxygen for a human to survive. The little that'd make it in through the tiny gaps in the zip wouldn't be enough when combined with him filling the space with carbon dioxide he was breathing out. Same as when people were obsessing over that lost sub - you don't die because you've exhausted every last scrap of oxygen in the atmosphere. It becomes toxic long before that.
