How would you introduce Teresa Parker in an animated adaptation?
Hard mode, try not to portray Richard Parker as being extremely shady for hiding and training her.

Chameleon deepfake.
>Finisher is still alive and also Chameleons are a people instead of just one guy
What an odd reveal.
I think the best way to portray her IS by making Richard Parker extremely shady going by most animated adaptations, he was both a scientist and spy who was on good enough terms with Norman Osborn that their sons were friends. He also worked with Eddie Brock’s father.
Does this sound like a 100% good person to you?
Would you put it past a guy like that to hide a daughter and send her off to a chameleon academy.
>Does this sound like a 100% good person to you?
Yes.
>worked with Eddie Brock’s father
Wasn't that only in the Ultimate universe? iirc Eddie's Dad is just a regular guy.
Also spectacular
>Chameleon
Just why
I hate this school of Chameleons idea
This, because Teresa is terrible and the spy parents wasn't a great idea in the first place.
She’s Teresa in name only, and otherwise is identical to 1610 Jessica Drew.
and shes all the more based for it
I wonder how the memories would go in a cartoon? Exactly the same or slightly altered
This character needs to be memoryholed like the other billion things wrong with modern spider-man today.
Please. I hate almost everything about the whole "Spiderman's parents were super spys" bullshit. You don't need to add more complexity to shit why can't they just be nice average people why does everything have to be special.
Well, Spidey has to be friends with Harry, so most versions are either scientist, spy, or both.
>so most versions are either scientist, spy, or both.
Who, Harry, Peter, His parents, Norman. Your post makes no sense
Ok let me break it down.
Most versions of Peter are friends with Harry
Most versions use the newer childhood friend interpretation
Most Peter’s meet Harry due to a connection with parents
Peter’s parents have to be someone Norman is willing to interact with
Therefore most are either a scientist, spy or both
Ok, it's still a stupid fricking development and so is the "Harry and Peter were child hood friends who knew each other all their lives" because of course everything must be connected, fricking hack writing. What's next Doc Ock was their elementary school teacher and the Vulture was the school bus driver too
Pete and Harry just went to the same college that’s all it needs to be. Their connection works better as a real friendship rather than some connection through their parents
I liked the way spectacular handled it. Not everyone is connected to Peter but everyone is connected to Spider-Man.
A ploy developed by Mysterio, Harry Osbron and Mephisto.
How is people related to this one I can't tell if this is one of the daughters or his sister I'm bad with names.
How is Peter Parker related to this one I can't tell if this is one of the daughters or his sister I'm bad with names.
Little sister. Parents hid her for some reason.
I can imagine an episode where some Shield agents with someone really weird comes up so Peter Parker totally not being Spider-Man a image of his mom and dad saying you and possibly Aunt May( Possibly mention Uncle Ben not knowing he deceased saying they need to come with him because up family magnetic possibly with a C or B government hero which Pita only knows because Spider-Man business existence and 1000 things are going through his head he's thinking might need to go Spider-Man super strength on them but having no spider-sense until someone goes out to all of them and the man watch him into the vehicle for his own safety. He spends most of the episode calculator if this is all fake because he's Spider-Man or if he needs to hide the fact with the episode and then with his sister coming up and hugging him and him saying who are you.
Agent of SHIELD that Spider-Man knows and works with on occasion. Say that Nick Fury unofficially adopted her when Richard Parker died and lied to Ben and Aunt May that she died in the same car accident that Peter Parker's parents did, which is what Peter was also led to believe. Lends you a big dramatic reveal later on where she finds out she's been lied to her whole life, and a non-spider person for Peter to work alongside. Easy.
I like this version. It also brings back Nick Fury being morally grey
That would be brilliant but you should have Peter and Teresa bumped into each other a few times over the years without knowing there brother and sister.
Long after they've fricked.
NO!
>try not to portray Richard Parker as being extremely shady for hiding and training her.
Even if I introduced her and she was well received . This will happen in season 2 after the takeover by agenda pushers as usual.
Fury makes her unofficial SHIELD liaison with Spidey because SHIELD officially cannot be collaborating with an officially unknown quantity as the officially unidentified vigilante known as "Spider-man". Officially.
Make it a character point she knows she's the daughter of a couple of secret agents that were KIA because it was revealed to her when she joined SHIELD, and she took the position as unofficial liaison, which would be quite the hard break on her career, because Fury bribed her with access to that information once he's satisfied with her work.
Perhaps have her renting a room at Aunt May's as excuse for her being around Peter.
It would also work great to give the writer chances to portray their out-of-business relationship.
Which would be completely devoid of anything remotely resembling sexual tension, though MISUNDERSTANDING shenanigans would abound with other characters
...Aunt May realized she was Richard's and Mary's kid by the third day at latest.
Logan would be the one spilling beans about them being siblings and the children of the Parkers, realizing both only once he got the chance to interact with Peter and Teresa together.
Remember when it was revealed she was a litteral who because Fisk needed a bait so that Peter can search for a nazi weapons his parents hid ?
that's as moronic as her actually being parker's sister
Have her actually be a mash-up of Ultimate Jessica and Teresa. She's just a lady clone of Pete/Engineered Sister with fake memories edited off Pete's.
Y'know what I'll just go with Ultimate Jessica Drew.
Let's be real Teresa kind of seemed like a half assed way to get Ultimate Jess in 616 somehow.
>It's another "We're out of ideas, just pull from Ultimate Spider-man again" episode
Since when it’s the other way around? I remember people giving Bendis shit when he introduced ultimate chameleons at the same time as 616 Chameleon was banging Peter’s roommate.
Don't, she's a terrible idea.
She has potential to be good with the right writers
Exactly.
Terrible idea.
Not a terrible idea, just terrible execution.
No. Here's the thing you not-writers need to understand. Anything that has the potential to be good only if the writer is adequate enough is a bad idea. It's inherently that way. Have you noticed how generic some of the biggest and most memorable stories of our time are? They have good ideas, which are good because even a moronic ape can get them right.
I know I must sound like the biggest frickin psued, but that's something I've noticed as I write. 'This can turn out really well if I can do it right,' quickly turns into oh frick this doesn't feel as good as it could be.
But Teresa’s not really a bad idea cause it is an idea that anyone could get.
Spider-Man has a little sister who he didn’t know about cause he lives with his aunt.
The problem is modern writers always have to over complicate things, they couldn’t have kept it as a “they never met because she was raised by a family friend” they had to throw the Chameleons in too
The chameleons came WAAAAAAAY later anon, she initially appeared in a non canon book that zdarsky pulled from for his spectacular run, the chameleons thing was done by spencer as a way of getting rid of her
Damn same because her concept lends itself to some cool possibilities.
Teresa's entire existence is an overcomplicated thing to explain and makes Peter's parents out to be neglectful c**ts.
No, not really.
High risk high reward is more of a story 180 kind of thing.
Really, this goes for all ideas if you think about it. If they fail and the consequences are horrible, why did you even go through with it?
High risk high reward.
>Hard mode, try not to portray Richard Parker as being extremely shady for hiding and training her.
richard worked for shield as a scientist, mary claimed she was an admin assistant or some shit but was an active agent. she got pregnant with teresa, hid her away, trained her, and richard never knew he had a daughter
I checked the Wiki page apparently at the moment it's not supposed to be confirmed in comics 616 if she is Peter Parker's sister or not.
Family business ended with The Parkers handler secretly DNA testing her and leaving the results ambiguous.
Since then there has been no confirmation either way but they both refer to each other as siblings.
The bigger question is why doesn't she have blonde hair like she did at the end of family business?
>The bigger question is why doesn't she have blonde hair like she did at the end of family business?
She probably stopped dyeing it
Just make her Peter's sister living alongside him with Aunt May & Uncle Ben. Any other method would be overly confusing.
in an animated show i think the appropriate time she should appear is after aunt may's death. Peter didnt have a proper family but had an aunt and uncle who were his parental fiigure, teresea being a kidnapped child by hydra who shot their parents during vacation, she had no family.
After May's death Peter feels like the last Parker, though he finds a deep connection with mj, he feels parkers are destined to die with bad luck, but when finding out Teresea is alive he wants to be the parental figure Ben and May was to him, to his younger sis. and with teresea never knowing what is like to have a family fights back against hydra to find her identity.
only then for an email to appear which peter finds, peter opens it to reveal she's not his sister buut his step-sister, and well look at that peter now he finds her stuck in a washing machine 😉
Peter falls in love with this hot spy he feels he can be himself around, he decides to introduce her to Aunt May, and Aunt May goes
"Peter, my god, it's your long-lost sister"
and then cut to credits
Richard and his wife briefly split up. He had a fling. He didn't know about the kid or respected the wishes of the mother and stayed away. Ben and May never knew.
I wouldn't
He asked how you would Jake. Not if you would.
Ok here’s my go, let me know what you think.
Richard and Mary weren’t spies but were scientists who worked with Oscorp. Eventually they found out something they shouldn’t have, so Norman had them killed.
Since Peter was around and Teresa was only recently born, Norman decided to lie and say she died too while putting her with a selected foster family and testing a new Oscorp drug on her with Peter as a control. What that drug does I’ll leave up to later.
N. Osborn shouldn't be in charge of Oscorp so young. He'd be watching Pete like a hawk and I don't think the villain should have that big a role so young.
>N. Osborn shouldn't be in charge of Oscorp so young.
Then why is it called Oscorp
Because they changed the name from Osborn industries to Oscorp later on.
Then why wouldn’t Osborn be in charge
When Peter was a baby, Harry was a baby, and Osborn industries was much smaller. Your idea takes a lot of resources to pull off.
He also had his partner, Professor Stromm. Mendel gets forgotten so frequently in adaptations.
Good point. Also not defending my idea, just confused on the logic.
Honestly I think that Teresa could work in an adaptation and be good I’m just not sure how. I liked the earlier idea that SHIELD set her up with a family and trained her while lying to May and Ben.
Oh. Sorry then! I'm not great at describing my thoughts on posts. I wish you the best of luck. Maybe Gregory Bestman might work? He's the vulture's businessman partner that set Toomes up and stole his company.
Sounds fair. Honestly a personal hobby of mine is trying to figure out a way to untangle the contrived Spider-Man mythos in a way that would make a satisfying animated adaptation. Just for fun. So far I believe that Peter, Cindy, Jessica, and maybe Miles or Ben later in the career should be the only ones with actual spider powers, and if anyone like Gwen or Anya come into play they should have either incomplete or no powers with technology to make up for it.
I also think that Spider-Man works best with not a true team, but rather a loose network of friends who occasionally help out, hence why I’m wondering on Teresa.
Spectacular~
Spectacular~
Spider-Man already did that.
I know, and I love spectacular with all of my heart. Unfortunately, it got cut short and Spider-Man has only grown more and more convoluted so it’s fun to imagine what a modern Spectacular would be like. Especially with no more rights issues blocking the Human Torch from appearing.
>Preface: Don't like this idea.
Would make more sense with Amberson Osborn if you can get your hypothetical timeline to match up. The company went bankrupt under him. Norman was a money-less college scholarship student who worked to get back what daddy lost.
#1 Reason I'm relieved he doesn't want to be on a book.
I forgot she existed
....
Really glad miles is the spidey that teens have.
Now all they need is the strange super hero/super villains community slant that Spiderman had in the 90s and hell be perfect.
Huh? I don’t follow.
I like gwen!
So do I.
I'm amused that -insert her name here-troll tried trolling you with his usual nonsense and your response stopped him cold lol.
who?
The guy who posted
>this
I'd rather not mention it because he's a dedicated troll
Either make her a twin sister, or just simply have her as a little sister that Peter looks after with Ben & May. Peter trying to be a good superhero & help his Uncle Ben & Aunt May, while also being a good brother to Teresa. Adding more of a struggle to Peter's life
Her favourite hero would be Black Widow, which would tie to her hero identity if there's a chance she'd get spider powers. Similar to Ultimate Jessica Drew. Even be a spy herself as she's mentored by Natasha
I like a combination of these and they could probably work for a show similar to spectacular. Have Teresa discovered and brought to May early on to add more financial pressure to Peter’s life.
also a slight gag of Flash trying to get her into sports so that she ends up becoming a tomboy and not “another geek like Puny Parker”
>How would you introduce Teresa Parker in an animated adaptation?
I wouldn't. Anything involving Peter's bio parents is moronic by default. That shit is counter to the things that make Spidey charming. What everyman has superspy parents?
What everyman is a genius who creates a synthetic web and various gadgets, yielding better results with more scientific resources?
Make it so Richard didn't know
What?
He's saying that Richard should not know
A. That she was a spy
Or
B. That she was born.
Richard not knowing she was born is what I meant
If you do the spy route for Richard it could just be as simple as someone wanting leverage or wanting to frame him for easy blackmail material
Its a comic spy plot it doesn't need to make perfect with all the crazy people and things in setting
It could probably work for the scientist Richard if he has access to top secret information
That could be very interesting. Especially if it was, never mind
??
A rival Drugging Richard
Why not make her a cousin from Mary's sister?
That could work
That where make her Aunt May and Uncle Ben's actual child before Peter?Might need to increase the level up consideration in their scenes together,
No it would make her peters cousin not related to Ben or May
Actually, there's a novel version of Spider-Man we're Peter does have a cousin name Zoe Parker. It's on Wikipedia
Maybe she's Ben & May's daughter, while they look after Peter & Teresa
