I think the best way to portray her IS by making Richard Parker extremely shady going by most animated adaptations, he was both a scientist and spy who was on good enough terms with Norman Osborn that their sons were friends. He also worked with Eddie Brock’s father.
Does this sound like a 100% good person to you?

Would you put it past a guy like that to hide a daughter and send her off to a chameleon academy.

            Anonymous

Ok let me break it down.
Most versions of Peter are friends with Harry
Most versions use the newer childhood friend interpretation
Most Peter’s meet Harry due to a connection with parents
Peter’s parents have to be someone Norman is willing to interact with
Therefore most are either a scientist, spy or both

Ok, it's still a stupid fricking development and so is the "Harry and Peter were child hood friends who knew each other all their lives" because of course everything must be connected, fricking hack writing. Agent of SHIELD that Spider-Man knows and works with on occasion. Say that Nick Fury unofficially adopted her when Richard Parker died and lied to Ben and Aunt May that she died in the same car accident that Peter Parker's parents did, which is what Peter was also led to believe. Lends you a big dramatic reveal later on where she finds out she's been lied to her whole life, and a non-spider person for Peter to work alongside. Easy.

I can imagine an episode where some Shield agents with someone really weird comes up so Peter Parker totally not being Spider-Man a image of his mom and dad saying you and possibly Aunt May( Possibly mention Uncle Ben not knowing he deceased saying they need to come with him because up family magnetic possibly with a C or B government hero which Pita only knows because Spider-Man business existence and 1000 things are going through his head he's thinking might need to go Spider-Man super strength on them but having no spider-sense until someone goes out to all of them and the man watch him into the vehicle for his own safety. He spends most of the episode calculator if this is all fake because he's Spider-Man or if he needs to hide the fact with the episode and then with his sister coming up and hugging him and him saying who are you.

Fury makes her unofficial SHIELD liaison with Spidey because SHIELD officially cannot be collaborating with an officially unknown quantity as the officially unidentified vigilante known as "Spider-man". Officially.

Make it a character point she knows she's the daughter of a couple of secret agents that were KIA because it was revealed to her when she joined SHIELD, and she took the position as unofficial liaison, which would be quite the hard break on her career, because Fury bribed her with access to that information once he's satisfied with her work.

Perhaps have her renting a room at Aunt May's as excuse for her being around Peter.
It would also work great to give the writer chances to portray their out-of-business relationship.
Which would be completely devoid of anything remotely resembling sexual tension, though MISUNDERSTANDING shenanigans would abound with other characters

...Aunt May realized she was Richard's and Mary's kid by the third day at latest.

Logan would be the one spilling beans about them being siblings and the children of the Parkers, realizing both only once he got the chance to interact with Peter and Teresa together.

No. Here's the thing you not-writers need to understand. Anything that has the potential to be good only if the writer is adequate enough is a bad idea. It's inherently that way. Have you noticed how generic some of the biggest and most memorable stories of our time are? They have good ideas, which are good because even a moronic ape can get them right.

I know I must sound like the biggest frickin psued, but that's something I've noticed as I write. 'This can turn out really well if I can do it right,' quickly turns into oh frick this doesn't feel as good as it could be.

              Anonymous

But Teresa’s not really a bad idea cause it is an idea that anyone could get.
Spider-Man has a little sister who he didn’t know about cause he lives with his aunt.
The problem is modern writers always have to over complicate things, they couldn’t have kept it as a “they never met because she was raised by a family friend” they had to throw the Chameleons in too

Family business ended with The Parkers handler secretly DNA testing her and leaving the results ambiguous.

Just make her Peter's sister living alongside him with Aunt May & Uncle Ben. Any other method would be overly confusing.

  15. 2 years ago

in an animated show i think the appropriate time she should appear is after aunt may's death. Peter didnt have a proper family but had an aunt and uncle who were his parental fiigure, teresea being a kidnapped child by hydra who shot their parents during vacation, she had no family.

After May's death Peter feels like the last Parker, though he finds a deep connection with mj, he feels parkers are destined to die with bad luck, but when finding out Teresea is alive he wants to be the parental figure Ben and May was to him, to his younger sis. and with teresea never knowing what is like to have a family fights back against hydra to find her identity.
only then for an email to appear which peter finds, peter opens it to reveal she's not his sister buut his step-sister, and well look at that peter now he finds her stuck in a washing machine 😉

Ok here’s my go, let me know what you think.

Richard and Mary weren’t spies but were scientists who worked with Oscorp. Eventually they found out something they shouldn’t have, so Norman had them killed.
Since Peter was around and Teresa was only recently born, Norman decided to lie and say she died too while putting her with a selected foster family and testing a new Oscorp drug on her with Peter as a control. What that drug does I’ll leave up to later.

      N. Osborn shouldn't be in charge of Oscorp so young. He'd be watching Pete like a hawk and I don't think the villain should have that big a role so young.

Sounds fair. Honestly a personal hobby of mine is trying to figure out a way to untangle the contrived Spider-Man mythos in a way that would make a satisfying animated adaptation. Just for fun. So far I believe that Peter, Cindy, Jessica, and maybe Miles or Ben later in the career should be the only ones with actual spider powers, and if anyone like Gwen or Anya come into play they should have either incomplete or no powers with technology to make up for it.
I also think that Spider-Man works best with not a true team, but rather a loose network of friends who occasionally help out, hence why I’m wondering on Teresa.

Either make her a twin sister, or just simply have her as a little sister that Peter looks after with Ben & May. Peter trying to be a good superhero & help his Uncle Ben & Aunt May, while also being a good brother to Teresa. Adding more of a struggle to Peter's life

Her favourite hero would be Black Widow, which would tie to her hero identity if there's a chance she'd get spider powers. Similar to Ultimate Jessica Drew. Even be a spy herself as she's mentored by Natasha

I like a combination of these and they could probably work for a show similar to spectacular. Have Teresa discovered and brought to May early on to add more financial pressure to Peter’s life.

If you do the spy route for Richard it could just be as simple as someone wanting leverage or wanting to frame him for easy blackmail material
