They tried this with Riverdale by making it a teen drama, it was awful, as most teen dramas are (see Euphoria) so the answer is simply not to, as a zoomer I can tell you the people who enjoy Archie for being Archie will read him anyway.
Just make a slice-of-life/sitcom series while occasionally alluding to the weirder elements in the Archie canon like Jughead's interdimensional diner.
Archie and the gang - now terminally online Zoomers - figure out how to throw a house party.

Honestly wouldn't have to change much.
Either make Kevin one of the main cast, or just vaguely hint that Betty or Veronica (Or really any random side character) is gay and the twitter/tik tok fandom will do the rest (Or it'll get cancelled first season).
