Dude your comic normally looks like ass but this latest thing of taking stills from your choppy animation and just adding a narration at the bottom makes you look moronic. You don't need to explain that a character is laughing. You're showing they're laughing.

I really don't think it's the same. When you play with the medium of a VN, you end up with stuff like Doki Doki. At best you're trying to do something like Homestuck, but that's so out there in genre that I don't know if it counts.

Arlokk is basically me when I'm drunk. I haven't gotten drunk in like 10 years, so this comic hits the spot.
When he sits down and tries he can make Cinemaphile-level black-and-white drawings of characters, but he sucks at everything else.
No. He learned how to render and understands how to copy some details, but he doesn't know how to make faces/bodies that don't look like ass, because he's never stopped to learn how to actually draw a person. He doesn't want to learn either and just copes when you criticize him. That's why his art has completely stagnated despite having such a constant output.

I'm shitting at work Even if my art was bad, that doesn't really matter since I don't parade myself as a secretly good artist then fail to deliver. I'm anon. My words carry their own weight. Look at that pic I posted. You can tell even without drawing that it's bad. Without any art experience, you can get away with saying it's uncanny. With it, you can nitpick all the details why.
It's overrendered. The lopsided eyes don't fit into the orbital bone. The lighting on the guy is inconsistent. The irises are too small. The noses are crooked. The dude is looking to his left but his face twists towards his right.
It's also the post- to- quality ratio. It wouldn't suck so much if Bones didn't constantly post (he seems to post compulsively, entire discord channels get spammed with his low-quality posts), but having to see every minor, shitty update just drives home how misplaced his priorities are.

Looking at these it feels the faces are far too long, something I tend to do myself and I desperately try and fix myself several times even after scanning it in and noticing it. I dont know if the noses look off or its the eyes, maybe its the angle of it. If there's anything I gather from this is my own introspection in my own slop so I reckon its not that much of a loss of a piece of work. Over all? mid /beg/, its ok.

Know your limit and stay within it. I feel the same about wanting to get my story out there, but ultimately pumping out that much material (when you aren't getting paid) is going to burn you out, and could legitimately lead to a wrist or back injury. Take it slow and steady, you'll win in the long run.

2. Just don't aim to make your magnum opus first, start with a bunch of very short stories.
Just start with a "practice comic" then proceeded to get very attached to said idea and characters and throw your original idea to the side. Then pick up that idea and see how shit it is and re work it with all you've learnt
Go with number two and then redraw and repost early pages at a later point if you're that disturbed by them.

What happened is that Bones drew me in a not so nice way because a couple days ago I made some snide comments about his art which I apologized for in DMs and said I was lashing out because of unrelated work stress and that it was wrong of me. I kinda thought we were cool, but no so it's whatever. He either blocked or unadded me which is fine. If he wants to make a vent comic to deal that's fine, was a little hurt at first because I thought we were good but I just figure it's not really that big of a deal even if he drew me like that because... Who cares?

If you have a lot of friends on discord you could get them to vote you to the top 100, or you could just have a link on your comic page and post the link in random places like in this webcomic thread or on twitter or something and hope for the best, you might not get any votes at all but at least you tried lol.

One woman was having a time at work and decided to take it out on me. She apologized to me, but then kept getting more and more aggressive towards me in neo and in dm's. I eventually told her it was ok to do this because I felt bad for her and understood she was in a bad situation with health issues and work and decided to let her use me as a punching bag to relieve stress. I had to block her when it got really bad towards the end.
THE OTHER WOMAN.... I dont understand at all, way before i made the vent comic and suicide joke right after i left neo discord, she decided to light me on fire and crucify me for no reason. Even up to now, leaking my dm's to the other girl to stress her out and piss her off into attacking me even more aggressively than before to the point of me having to block her, she is unblocked now, then leaking my dm's and my vent comic just so everyone could make fun of me and dunk on me while im not there, she is... literally fricking evil. It sounds like a joke to call someone evil, but she literally is. Easily the most hateful and awful girl i ever met on discord which is weird because she acts so nice in voice chat and shit, but she is not nice. Just leave it a bit abstract. You don't have to get caught up in all the specific details. Get the basic major shapes and then add the details here and there without actually making individual boats or houses or trees. The reader's imagination can fill in all the details themselves.
