The rot breaks containment with Gamergate, the 2016 election, and the 2018 Tumblr porn ban exodus--the supervirus spreads to Normie spaces. The virus attenuates into a strain more palatable and communicable for the Normies--the terminally brainrotted convince themselves they are men and flood the yaoi tag with heterosexual veganal sex, while simultaneously these spaces see increasing amounts of normies produce normal heterosexual content.
