goblet is kino >death eaters doing scummy shit during the world cup >international schools being introduced >barty crouch...JR! >snape cucking students during the yule ball
This is an obvious contrarian homosexual shitpost, but in case you truly are moronic, 3 is by far the best.
It's the only one that can be watched completely independently of all other movies and still be pure kino.
Not to mentioned how technically perfect it is.
shut the frick up alfonso its shit and you probably did irreparable damage to the franchise is the truth with your grimdark loser shit
best movies are quite obviously chamber of secrets and goblet of fire, although philosophers stone is quite good too
now I know you spend a lot of time drooling and this post of mine will probably make you scrunch your face up and drool a little harder, but just remember to take your time and breathe slowly when typing your response. I'm the on at risk here remember, my iq is under a great enough threat just conversing with you as it is

I like 7 quite a bit but 8 sort of fumbled the ending IMO. Weird because it's the same director, but 7 and 8 feel very different. Yates said he went for a more blockbuster tone with 8 and it shows. Not enough atmosphere, slightly more cliche and sloppy writing, etc.
Also how could you take out Harry's final speech to Voldemort from the books. Come on.
It was a well executed time loop story. Plus the part where harry saves himself. (We have all the power we need deep inside ourselves.) And that's pretty much all I got.
its something that happened to all movies around 2010 and beyond. I watch Something's Gotta Give - that silly 90s Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton movie and I was amazed at how warm and cheerful the lighting was. I think I'm going to stop watching anything made beyond 2003
That's how the books went. There was a certain innocent magic to the book stories 1+2 also. After that it gets too convoluted. But yeah, stylistically movies 1+2 were the best too. Before the actors went through puberty.

Cuaroncels, just leave. He had no understanding of the wizarding world and derailed the franchise.
>4, 1 & 2
patrician taste. the fifth one also had some fun world-building and the umbridge parts were very funny, but the whole DA and Voldemort trying to mentally possess Harry plot wasn't as well written as the pervious books. I liked how jkr made harry's dad a bully though
>goblet of fire posters
dawg, that was the beginning of the end. The only good choices that made was casting Pattinson and giving Jonny Greenwood a cameo.
Tbf that's when the books turned from magic into grimdark edgy teen drama too, the films couldnt have stayed loyal to the source material without going that route. Obviously turning everything grey was a lazy choice but Goblet got most of the things right, unlike the fifth movie which is impossible to follow if you are not familiar with the books. Goblet was also around when Dumbledore turned into a broken, grumpy old man from the cool old wizard he used to be and Gambon did his work well
You can notice an actual evolution from 1 to 2, after that the movies were very inconsistent. Cuarón was not really interested in being part of a franchise, he did what he wanted regardless of what he would have to leave to the rest (not explaining who the marauders are, how Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, what happened to Time Turner)
Even with the last 4 movies, which are directed by the same person, they are inconsistent with each other.
Chamber is the best movie and book imo. Overall the first three books had a light gothic horror element that's missing in the rest of the series but carries over well to film.
As a kid/teenager I used to hate Chamber of Secrets, found is boring, but I've come to appreciate it more and more as I've gotten older and it's now one of my favourites.
Books: >God Tier
Half Blood Prince >Great Tier
Deathly Hallows, Goblet of Fire >Good Tier
Order of the Phoenix, Prisoner of Azkaban >Fine Tier
Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets
>God Tier
GoB, CoS >Great Tier
Sorcerer's Stone, Deathly Hallows >Acceptable Tier
Order of the Phoenix, Prisoner of Azkaban >Shit tier
Half blood prince
All facades dropped and all posturing aside, are there any other autistic HP tards here? I once considered doing a long write-up ranking every single chapter in the series. Big undertaking but I think I'd enjoy it.
Half Blood Prince was good
So was Goblet
>So was Goblet
Globet was trash
Nah, it's tweenkino
goblet is kino
>death eaters doing scummy shit during the world cup
>international schools being introduced
>barty crouch...JR!
>snape cucking students during the yule ball
Goblet is the best one. Bookgays who wanted a subplot about house slave elves and a dragon fight that lasted two seconds can't apprwciate it.
goblet had some stuff going for it but they botched the entire final maze segment due to the book just being too long for one film
they did voldemorts return and death eaters better than any other film
HBP was a pile of shite, ruined arguably the best book in the series and removed/changed far too much.
I'm not a bookgay, so I enjoyed it
Fair enough I could see that, it just altered too much for me to not get pissed off like the autist I am
They are all good, but ironically Cuaron's movie is the best while also stripping the movie of some of the magic of the first two.
3 and 5 are the worst ones.... you can make a case for 7 and 8 too but at least they delivered on "spectacle" for a franchise of this scale

last two movies did nothing for me unironically

it's just the story
doesn't do it for me idk
I've never liked the third one much and don't understand why it's rated as the best
It was a well executed time loop story. Plus the part where harry saves himself. (We have all the power we need deep inside ourselves.) And that's pretty much all I got.
hello Alfonso
the only good harry potter movie is the 1st one, the other 6 are complete trash and utterly soulless
This. Seriously why are there no buildings? The entire place looks like a celtic ruin.
Why are the later movies so edgy and grimdark? It just felt weird and cringe.

They grew up so they turned the comfy children movies into teenage dramas
David Yates thought the more powerful Voldy got, the more gray you make everything. Just dumb.
That's how the books went. There was a certain innocent magic to the book stories 1+2 also. After that it gets too convoluted. But yeah, stylistically movies 1+2 were the best too. Before the actors went through puberty.
>why are movies about wizard Hitler roaming free grim dark
Truly a mystery for the ages
>Huge drop off after the first two
3 is the best by far
Cuaroncels, just leave. He had no understanding of the wizarding world and derailed the franchise.
TAKE IT AWAY ERN'
chris columbus is a punk b***h
1, 2, 4, 3, 6, 7 Pt 2, 7 Pt 1 and 5 is the true ranking. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor are the Houses ranked
For some reason #4 is the only one I ever liked
the 4th one was always my favourite book.
>Hufflepuff above Ravenclaw
why? there are literally 0 interesting Hufflepuff characters
I thought the 4th book was really good too. For me 4, 1 & 2 were the ones I remember fondly.

Was Snape the original incel?
yes and he should've been bullied by the marauders more
>goblet of fire posters

That's my boy!!! That"s my son!!
Every Chris Columbus movie by 2002
>adventures in babysitting
kinda feel a bit sick to my stomach when thinking about that movie
i hope we get to torture the people that ruined this country
calm down big boy
not worked up, just saying
Why isn’t Malfoy in the poster or maybe even snape or quirrell in a cloak
Malfoy is a minor character

I liked the one about the downs kid giving the nerd a sock

do it anon
They kinda work better as kids films compared to adult films, which is what the last few films were kinda trying to be
I want to kill Yates (in Minecraft)
