I don't know how a fan of Miles could like SM2. Miles does virtually nothing for the entire story before he gets captured and comes back with ugliest suit known to man. He could be entirely written out and you wouldn't notice.
It sold well because the previous game was great and people expectd even better things; but we've got Peter Cuck, a self-insert Mary Sue Jane, LGBTHIV+ flags everywhere and missions where you control some random diverse npc doing activism.
Even the people who like the game unanimously agree the story in 2 is dogshit.
