I am forgotten

So forgotten that you even forgot to remember that you forgot until you saw this post reminding you of the show that you didn't even remember you forgot.

Did anyone even remember to care if it's getting another season or not, or did they just forget? Not sure if don't care or just forgot to remember to care.

What did Cinemaphile finally decide I thought of it anyway?
1. Actually good.
2. Okay/watchable.
3. Just a meh Trek fanfic so McFarlane could cast the women he's banging in something.
4. Offensively bad.

    >What did Cinemaphile finally decide I thought of it anyway?
Actually good. Better when it leaned on the comedic aspects than when it went full 100% serious mode but OK even when it did that. 3rd season was something of a disappointment in that regard. Would still love to see more.

Not officially dead but it's Joever. McFarlane has said in interviews that they have a way of writing out Norm's character IF they get 4th season and that they would like to do one, but if they were going to make one there probably would have been news by now. And you can tell that they felt it was trending that way, since the S3 finale felt somewhat like a series finale.

I watched the first two seasons when they came out never having seen any Star Trek and enjoyed them. But I've since watched all of TOS, TNG and a bit of DS9 and VOY. And when season 3 came out I don't think I made it past the second episode.
So to answer your question initially I would have given it between 1 and 2. But now I think it's between 3 and 4.

Season 3 is worth watching just for some Gordon-centric kino later on. Grimes really is the shit. You do have to put up with Lieutenant Lesbian Chip-on-Shoulder though.

Too much focus on the gay homosexual race
His ex-wife got skinny-ugly after the first season and looked about 10 years too old
All the hot chicks left the show
    2.

      >Too much focus on the gay homosexual race
Would have been funny if that was actually a meta-parody being made by the series itself.

Like they are a infinitesimally small percentage of the universe, but everyone else has their shit disproportionately shoved down their throat during Union Sensitivity Training.

The thing is I thought they were interesting at first before everything was about their monogender
the fact that they'd rather leave the union than face having chicks with dicks walking around just made them tiresome
I actually liked that in the first story the girl was changed to a boy and the human federation didn't manage to force their view on their race.

The Moclan episodes are the best in the entire show.

i wonder why they never did a metoo episode with an obese big nosed alien that gropes females ?

My favorite episode was the Darullio episode where Rob Lowe played a blue alien who had some kind of powerful sex pheromone that caused everybody (including seth) to have sex with him.

That was a bad episode even without the gay shit. Makes the first episode a problem, not her fault, and how could everyone in the whole fricking galaxy not know about the Blue Man Group homosexual race? So offensively bad, and then homosexualry, so doubly so.

Rewatching season 1 is a chore. I forgot just how often he b***hes about his ex-wife. Nearly every fricking episode it is.

    It's a 1.
I mean honestly, if The Orville isn't actually good, then what the hell is 99% of modern TV shows? 5. Not even worth acknowledging the experience of?
Even if you ignore the scifi niche it's in, it's the only show with well-written episodes and meaningful plots full stop. No cynicism as a crutch, no "cool" or "badass" posturing, no mumbo jumbo wishy washy distorted 'values'.
Some of you rating it anything but 'Actually good' don't know it yet, but you have bad taste and one day you'll look back on the other stuff you think you enjoy and realize it's a mountain of nothing but shit.

We were obviously watching different shows.

I saw the first two seasons and enjoyed them but there was way too much focus on the klingon guy and how he is either a pervert or a moron.

McFarlane has shit taste in women generally, either way, those particular b***hes don't belong on screen when you can cast someone hotter and better. Nepotistic subpar hire shit.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 was mixed, with too many low budget episodes so they could afford the big CG space battles. Season 3 was good, but was too serious. Overall a pretty good show.

Everybody knows there is a near 0% chance it gets another season. I'm happy with the 3 we got.
