I hated it as a child too, but I know exactly why. That fricking shoe death scene and the fricking scene where Doom’s eyeballs came out were terrifying.
The frickers behind the upcoming Coyote VS Acme said that movie was "on par with Rogger Rabbit if not way BETTER"
Do you guys believe that claim or not?
also I know this is a very, very, very unpopular opinion but I like "Looney tunes Back in Action" the best out of any those live action/cartoon hybrids because it's the only one where the cartoons are the actual man characters and have more screentime that the humans, plus is the only one where Marvin the Martian has a BIG role instead of just being a cameo

If I was working on an animated film in this era of people continuing to not take animation seriously, I'd say whatever lies possible to get people's eyes on my work.
I had this book of interviews with animators when I was a kid and I remember it being expressed in various ways that it didn’t turn out like they expected and they were disappointed. It always made me wonder what the version of Roger Rabbit sold to them was like. The impression I got was that it was supposed to be a legit film noir for adults but with cartoon characters in it, but then the revenue potential of merchandising revealed by Batmania resulted in it being watered down for a family audience. The same thing happened with Dick Tracy, the original screenplay of which was significantly more violent.
It's great
The level of interaction between a real life actor and animated characters in this film has never been surpassed IMO, they did an amazing job of it.
You opinion is standard if correct
I am of the opinion that you are a homosexual even if you're correct
It's a great film, BUT I like The Thief even more.
Yep, I thought the same exact thing when I opened this thread.

Heard about it as a kid, shot ropes to jessica but never watched it
Should i give it a go?
Definitely.
Even better if you can find an original video cassette.
And guess who was attached to it. I'll give you a hint; she's very "popular" in certain online circles.
Water is wet. Boring thread.
I agree
The movie fell off after they went to toon town imo.
Cool World has the hottest girls tho
Agreed. It is the movie that really kick-started the Disney Renaissance.
I am in total agreement.

So, no.

Nope

I am of the opinion that you're a homosexual but that is entirely unrelated to your own opinion on Who Framed Roger Rabbit
I like it, I just wish Roger himself wasn’t so useless in the movie.
Probably the best example of mixing live action and animation, to this day.
