I am writing a Saw script and trying to get a better handle on the Jigsaw character. Does he have any "boomerisms" so to speak? Like would he call coffee "mud"? Things like that.

Would it be completely out of character if he said something like "Cherry." after someone died in a car themed trap?
lmao have you ever seen a Saw movie? frick yes it would be completely out of character.
No, they do not put in any boomerisms at all. He's written like a perfect mastermind where everything always goes to plan, with the exception of what happens in Saw X and Detective Hoffman killing his ex-wife. But that's two things gone wrong in ten movies, basically. They don't focus on any tics, mannerisms, or compulsive behaviors, outside of constructing sweet traps that people keep trespassing their way into.
I think that's ridiculous. There's definitely some stuff that borders on the verge of boomerism. He's certainly not in a Gen Z aesthetic.
You should probably call coffee "mud", things like that.

Do you have any insight into his character along these lines?
Did you know pigs are smarter than dogs and one of the most compassionate animals? And we eat them...
I did know that. Humans have a fair amount of genomic/physical overlap with the pig.
Especially rusanglogermcucks
It's ironically hard to write a character who is so great at understanding the human mind.
You can't write a character smarter than you are because you have no idea what it's like to be smarter than you are. That's why so many shows are shit and just use magic "intelligence" like that shit Hannibal show or nu Sherlock
Then how did someone write him in the first place? Not just one time, but nine times or 10 if you count Spiral which is set in the universe of Saw and explicitly and implicitly references his genius?
Is this genius in the room with us now?
No, I haven't written any of the existing Saw films. I'm writing one now.
If you can imagine someone dumber then you can imagine someone smarter.
What you cant write is someone with a level of expertise beyond your own using that expertise. But that hasn't zver stopped writers for film and television.
Yes you can, because all you have to do is create the impression of expertise. Doc builds a time machine in Back to the Future, etc.
>Go into exam
>Imagine I'm Einstein
>Just do what he would do
>100%
JigC thread?
hit 'em with it
>immediate digits
It's confirmed in canon that JigC never uses any traps outside because he loves his lawn. There is a scene from the first Saw movie that got cut where he sees kids walking on the lawn of one of his victims and he says "Darn kids".
Frick off idiot.
Frick you. What are you even talking about?
>"How You Play The Cards You're Dealt Is All That Matters."
>"If You Find The Meaning Of Your Life, What You’ve Found Is Your Soul."
>"You Can’t Help Them. They Have To Help Themselves."
These are Jigsaw quotes. Are they boomer?
>he start-a-rockin'
>and he can't stop-a-rockin'
You should probably call coffee "mud", things like that.
What a stupid fricking idea.
You should probably call coffee "mud", things like that.
Why?
You should probably call coffee "mud", things like that.
He's arguably the last great and iconic film character. And his movies are hugely profitable, particularly in periods when the economy is doing well. I just need to get inside his head and this could be my scriptwriting breakthrough.
>scriptwriting breakthrough
>pre-existing IP
>idiot doesn't understand that new IP doesn't hit at the box office
He listens to ZZ Top on repeat while building the traps
>Like would he call coffee "mud"? Things like that.
This thread is clown shoes.
I feel like JigC would say “partner” a lot.
He rocks, why should he stop?
He shouldn’t, partner.
Ain't nothing but the truth.
