They have like a giant wall sized playable version of this at my local movie theater (in the US). There is also a Jujutsu Kaisen gashapon machine that has never worked because it only takes special tokens from a second machine that has been empty or broken since it was installed and has been like that for a year.

My man there’s 15 other AC games. Boot up an emulator and remap those controls

No one want to play with tank controls anymore. Plus the games themselves allow rebinding of the controls even in the original AC1 so why not?

just because mainstream gaming has chosen idiot controls to appeal to casuals and women doesn't mean they're better
          face it, you got filtered

because having 8 directional analog move is worse than tank controls, you lose the ability to center the camera as well. just get used to it bro.

It's not the fricking 90s. But even if it were AC1 allows you to rebind the controls in-game. Even From back in the day knew that people would want to change their control setup. You remind me of those morons that insist on playing Doom with a keyboard despite the game having mouse support day 1. If you stomach it then fine but I will use the face buttons for aiming.

              Anonymous

Yeah they allow you to rebind the controls, without analog, what you gonna do with that? Move with the directions and aim with the soulder buttons? That is even worse but go for it I guess lmao.
Even you know your argument has no base whatsoever, hence why you repeat the same shit hoping it sticks like this was twitter, even going as far as comparing to another totally different game with totally different experiences. Cope.

                Move with the fricking d-pad?
                >and aim with the soulder buttons?
No, I use the face buttons, you know X O □ Δ. Its real easy to go into AC1s options and swap the bindings. Then you can get something resembling a modern twin stick shooter. But you stay stuck in the past and continue to get mad at those that don't.

That sounds like garbage and thumb consuming (although better than what I described) but go on modernity boy lmao.

It's not ideal but I don't blame AC1 for the PS1 for not having dual thumbsticks as the standard, I get that twin stick aiming wasn't the default yet. By the time you get to AC3 though it's ridiculous that From hadn't implemented dual stick aiming. Thank god they finally came to their senses with Nexus.

They are better and more responsive. Tank controls on everything is garbage.

If you actually remap the controls the camera movement gets messed up and makes things worse.

    Here's my recs
Obviously the older AC games. (Try AC1, AC3, or AC4 to start)
Front Mission series (I recommend the DS port of FM1, Remakes are meh)
MechWarrior series (MW4 Vengeance/Mercenaries is easiest to try and setup)
    Starsiege
FM: Gun Hazard (my choice for a 2D Armored Core like experience)
    Assault Suit Leynos/Valken
    Metal Warriors
    Heavy Gear 1 and 2
    Zone of the Enders
    Metal Wolf Chaos
    Titanfall 2

I dunno if many will like this, but Iron Rebellion is VR only and it's amazing.

and Synthetik is mech-ish but is an isometric roguelite but is absolutely based

knew I forgot a title, fantastic game for the multiplayer experience alone. Sadly not everyone has a Saturn but I've heard emulation is pretty good these days.

I’ll always support Steel Lancer Arena International. Most obvious difference from AC is the addition of a camo system, shit’s cool.
I also liked Daemon X Machina for what it was.
