I really like Bluey. I learned to only use community forums about it for getting info. on upcoming episodes and things like that, and then immediately dip out. There was enough cringey and creepy stuff on Bluey forums from what I saw on the surface to realize it isn't safe to swim there.

Kids are smarter than that. Bluey is voiced by a girl, calls herself and is adressed as a girl. what gives?
Parents who think information needs to be forced down kids gullets is why dumb visual fodder like teletubbies and dora are allowed to propogate and shows like Bluey and MLP aren't.

If you want a real no bullshit redpilled answer it's because real dogs can only see blue and yellow tones. So the main cast is identifiable even by family dogs, which is why many people report their dogs "watching" the show. Very good strategy to drum up word of mouth.

You an Aussie? Because if not you have no idea how bad it is.
I haven’t seen a straight white male portrayed in an ABC show as competent , smart or likeable in over ten years. This government funded propaganda machine has been attacking the very men who hewed this nation from rock, dust and hardwood.
When there’s a flood, bushfire, landslide or horror accident it’s straight white men responding, and yet the ABC shits on those same men in every show. And the worst part is that we (as the majority taxpayers) are forced to pay for these scumbags to sit in their ivory towers and write us out of history.

Cinemaphile is terrible, but it still occasionally produces solid OC and draws about 45-55k posts a day for the last decade
Cinemaphile has maintained a pretty respectable 20-25k posts a day for the last decade and still makes a fricking ridiculous amount of quality OC on an almost daily basis
/mlp/ eleven years ago at about 30k posts a day for a couple of months, then dropped off hard around ten years ago. it's been averaging ~2-3k posts a day now for a decade and I can't remember the last time anything memeworthy came out of that board.

Bluey is a great show. It promotes healthy heteronormative relationships and positive family fun. It's so refreshing for the father character to actually be competent and likeable, which is highly distinct from the cartoons I grew up with where the father was always portrayed as a useless moron. I watch it with my daughter and she loves dancing with them during the opening theme.
Aside from that the show also lightly touches on some more mature themes such as:
    >concept of a borrowed body but eternal soul (The Dump)
    >Getting over Childhood trauma through science fiction pretend play (astronauts)
    >helping family who are unable to conceive children to be involved in rearing children (Brandie)

On top of that it exposes children to classical music like bach beethoven and mozart with the BGM in different episodes. Overall it's an extremely based children's show and I would recommend to all new parents.

This shit right there is exactly why cancel culture, feminism and other liberal bullshit took root in the west. Based dad nipping that shit in the bud. Could never be aired in America.

Didn't give that scene enough credit when I first saw it, thought it was just a throwaway joke but now I realise the writers were saying it to their audience

Also solid. I never was able to figure out if Bandit skipped work or this was after work.

Same here. That episode especially hit because we've been doing cosleeping with our daughter and we're getting ready to try and move her back into her room. She absolutely loves that episode though. Anytime it's on, she stops whatever she's doing and just watches it. At night, it's the last episode we put on before bed because it seems to get her sleepy. We bought the book version to read to her too.

that episode is very emotional but I can't put a finger on why.
bluey is popular because the parents act like real parents do to some extent and bandit isn't a moron. there was one episode that centered around the kids trying to play with them when they are clearly hung over from a party the previous night

What the frick is “on the right” and “on the left”? Australians use Commonwealth drill which is “by the left” or “by the right”.
But of course the ABC is all about treating the Australian military with absolute contempt, so it’s not surprising that details like this get missed.

I mean it's a cute show I watch with my daughter. The thing that makes it enjoyable for me are the parents interactions.
Chilly and bandit are G's and the episode where chili is drinking with another mom while the dads pull stumps is gold. Another more adult themed episode is the day after new years when they are both hung over

In my parent group, Bluey is by far the most enjoyed because it's got the most accurate rendition of being a parent. Octonauts is Paw patrol tier garbage.

I'm not a parent (yet), but I like and get that impression from watching the show. For example that one episode where Bandit and Chilli are talking about their kids at night laughing at funny things they did or said, then Bluey comes down and is like 'do you two talk about us when we sleep?!'.

seconding, not only it is an accurate reflection of being a parent, but the parents in the show are such good examples that it makes my wife and i want to do better. we're both control freaks (but working on it) and bandit and chili are both such good examples of just being flexible, turning difficult situations into engaging games for the kids, encouraging them to experiment, etc etc. No, we don't need a tv show for this, but it doesnt hurt.
