Shrek is one of those things that people look back on and ask "how in the Hell was this ever popular?" Like Pogs or pet rocks.
First film is good. Different from the sequels, since it was made in the late 90s/2000 instead of 2002/2010.
The original film's irreverent and sometimes crude comedy was novel in the face of self-important Disney musicals, and the use of pop-music and the dance-party ending (later to become stale cliches of their own) was outright a parody of them.

Love this moment of the first film. Fiona has a hand on Shrek despite them not being yet in a relationship or told each other what they feel.

I did not care for Into the Spiderverse or Across the Spiderverse.

The first film isn't as bad in that respect. Miles has a crush on Gwen but she leaves and he's arguably portrayed as owing his success to the example of two versions of the original (white) Spider-man.
