Not really. Steins;Gate only works because of the 2010 Akihabara setting and even then it´s on the limit amount of acceptable cringe. It gets away with a lot of stuff only because animation is somewhat allowed to exaggerate for stylization purposes.

I didn't think that anime could be kino. I am at a loss for words.
I reckon it´s pretty good. It has nice pacing and build up management and it can get pretty intense from time to time (pun intended) but there are better anime out there.
He larped so hard that he became able to actually move between parallel worlds and moved himself into one where he really was a mad scientist and all his consipiracy stuff was literally true. A lot of anime is aspirational like that. A featureless, persaonlity-less blob of a character builds a harem because they're nice, for example. Isekai stuff takes that further, and lets an everyday person get reborn, special in some other setting entirely. Stein's:Gate was the first native isekai, where the character basically does the same thing, but without dying or going through a portal or whatever. It's loved becuase it's superfically wish fufilment that shows how nightmarish letting an immature person have their way with a world would actually be. So, for most of its audience it's a loving send off to their own childishness and a recognition that they have to become adults. And it does it all without leaning into parody or otherwise being lazy about anything. Every step feels earned.
They just name dropped as much "sciency" shit as they could so they could market it as a scifi show, and not what it really is - moe harem cute girls doing cute things rubbish.
