It'd be funnier if it was Teri's vegana, ass, and occasionally her in a bikini and other fetish shit.

        not with that attitude

Although I've watched the show since its first pre-release advertisements, I've never followed Gumball community until recently. Was Teri always treated like a coombait, or is it a hiatus thing born out of boredom?

I watched this show religiously as a child and loved it. It was also one of the few cartoons my dad actually enjoyed

She was never treated as coombait, and seeing anons want to frick her was genuinely surprising for me

Funny how such surge of interest in paper bear happened at a time when people on the average stopped caring about Gumball's show.

not really, theres tons of TAWOG fans on youtube mostly and even Instagram. Id say Gubnall is rising in popularity, because a lot of its target audience are becoming adults by now

Maybe this kinda explains the weird influx of paper frickers.

im one of those kids who grew up on Gumball and is now an adult, and I have no idea where the paper frickers came from. I dont think Teri was ever once portrayed in "waifu-ish" way in the show, and there are tons of other girls they couldve fixated on

                >I dont think Teri was ever once portrayed in "waifu-ish" way in the show
To be fair, none of them were. Relationship arcs of Penny or Carrie didn't strive to make them into 'waifus'. Even adult Penny is as featureless as her preteen self.

Before it was lots and lots of Carrie and Rachel.

That makes sense. Teri's personality and quirks were only established somewhere in the middle of second season. Before that it was just 'lol, paper girl!' while Carrie and Rachel were already fully developed.

The show kind-off went to shit as time went through, personally it breaks my balls how it helped on the joke of 'saying everything that's going on at 4x speed in a monotone, calm voice.'

    Mogged by early Regular Show

Yeah, but mid Regular Show gave me such second hand embarrassment due to Mordecai's cringy romantic pursuits that on the average RS feels a tad worse than TAWOG.

I concede that Regular Show took a quality dive post season 2, albeit still watchable. I have hardly seen any gumball post like 2013 so I dont know how it holds up compared to later regular show. But I also looked at the list of Cartoon Networks programming since 2010 to see what Gumballs competition even is, and holy shit is it grim.

I actually agree though, to the point that I defend that even though the last seasons were pretty weak compared to the early ones, they were still vastly superior to most other cartoons.

not much actually, but she was a love interest for Darwin, she appeared very early on in the show, she had an interesting personality, her design looks a lot more human-ish then Teri, and the showrunners bizarre attitude towards her made her stand out from the other characters and made her memorable.

I still wish they would’ve voided her, tha. Make a joke about her yelling at her dad for forgetting her and he just throws her away before his wife and Tobias notice and says to himself one kid is enough.

It is, but only because there weren't any funny shows in the 2010s. I don't think it's even as funny as a mid-80s episode of Muppet Babies. It's just grating and obnoxious.
