Indoor smoking isn’t banned. A lot of places have a separate smoking section though

        Anonymous

in the last few years it's gone from separate section to every single chain store having got rid of them, good reason to use independent places sure but i miss being able to sit in denny's for 5 hours going through a pack of cigs and 10 cups of free-refill coffee

I'm fine with no-smoking inside. what I was less fond of while there is that you could only do it in designated areas even outside. I spent a few days in tokyo and moved around quite a bit, and I can count on one hand how many areas I saw, goddamn

that was one thing Korea did better than Japan, outdoor smoking is just as frowned upon but if you could find an alley or street corner with cigarettes butts already on the ground it was basically a designated smoking area

You can in the US too, it just has to be a private business, but you can be a cigar store with a really low bar for membership requirements that has a private back room cigar bar for smoking cigars, for instance.

Dunkin was cheap and started out in blue collar Massachusetts while Starbucks was expensive, started in priggish Seattle, and was really pretentious with their fricking coffee that costs you extra because it's made exclusively from beans harvested under moonlight by honduran child midgets and smuggled to the country in a donkey's butthole.

It costs extra because for every purchase, they have to send an extra buck back to their star (of david, if you know what I mean).

The movie Best In Show had this bit about Starbucks doing this. But it's true. It do be like that

The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where "feed" and "seed" both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".
