limp bizkit was literally the least coolest thing imaginable when i was in high school, its not like anyone actually hated them or anything but ya know they were people who were cool to the previous generation, not us. ironically now i would say that fred durst is actually a legitimately creative person whose non-music shit is actually really good and limp bizkit is a fricking hilarious product of its time
with linkin park i thought their music sounded cool but was too whiny. now that im older i actually understand what their music is about on an emotional level and i think it makes it even gaygier, it's legitimately embarassing stuff to listen to, My Chemical Romance is infinitely more respectable and i would still make fun of you for being an emo homosexual

All these bands were hating on him and his response would be like "oh, I love those guys" and like point out good shit they did. Honestly, looking back at the bands that talked the most shit... it all came down to jealousy, that LB busted on the scene and had all the success and fame they wanted for themselves almost instantly.
Funny how time sheds a different light on things. I have spent years thinking Fred was some douchebag, because that was the overall consensus from his haters.
