Is there any proof that Harveys ruined reputation would put the crooks he imprisoned back in the streets, or make his good deeds all for nothing? This is what batman and gordon assert in the movie.
I think it's just that any attorney would be able to get his case thrown out due to the circumstances and fallout of the reveal of what actually happened.
Even without harvey becoming 2 face im surprosed that doesnt happen anyway. The one guy who was going to testify against the mob which pinned the one charge to all of them got kidnapped and burned alive.
but he got all those criminals behind bars BEFORE he went on a revenge spree after this face got burned off and his gf got blown up by a bomb. that doesn't take away any of the cases he successfully put together which all happened before the incidents
I always thought they were in jail awaiting trial. Because when he talks to the mayor they say the bosses are out on bail. And then they only get the chinamans statement officially recorded for the upcoming trial. But the judge dies so that would delay things. Then your star witness gets killed. Then the DA, the guy who was the one who laid all these charges. Then if it were found out he went on a murder spree, broke tons of laws, and held a kid at gunpoint ready to murder him that would just look really bad. Most likely grounds for a mistrial.
No that wasn't the point. Gotham needed someone to believe in someone who wasn't corrupt. Them finding out hes a murder kinda ruins all the good faith he had built up over the years. This all goes out the window by the 3rd film since everyone just decides to take banes side and eat the rich.
He died as Two-Face, an insane criminal obsessed with revenge. Batman wanted (Gotham to) remember for Harvey Dent, the attorney who were the hero of the people. It was a symbolic gesture.
The burned side of his face was too over-the-top. They should've just had it be covered in burns and not actually burned to the bone.
I was pleasantly surprised they were willing to go so deep and naturalistic with the depiction, especially that Two-Face canonically got his scars from acid. Which means fire is the own of Nolan's universe and if he didn't do this "burned down to the bone" version he'd have never had a chance to see it. Yet I constantly felt something is off with Harv's face. It's really well-made, fits with the movie's tone, looks anatomically correct but it's somehow not as spectacular as it should be. I'm still glad we got this instead of surface-level burns because of the above reasons but it's weird how Nolan's Two-Face is not more visually impactful.
If he survived getting half his face burned down to the skull he'd have died of sepsis not long after. Was it ever mentioned in the movie that he will die soon?
Resident Evil
That side of his face was so freaky looking Batman thought they should lay him the other way in the coffin.

he was done on one side

Its what they were originally going to do but Nolan just couldn't help himself
He wanted to rub some dirt in his eye.
Why doesnt Batman just rape the joker?
Well someone for sure would have used the opportunity to try a bit of the meat
moron
He's the Penguin.
The Duality of Man.
Batman likes it extra crispy.
If he survived getting half his face burned down to the skull he'd have died of sepsis not long after. Was it ever mentioned in the movie that he will die soon?
yeah and he's in extreme pain but he rejected any painkillers or treatment
>we gonna pin all the murders on batman
>Yeah but what about the witnesses and cameras
>Shut up batman killed all those people.
