He forgets everything constantly, except the fact that hes looking for someone who raped and killed his wife. Bad people take advantage of him constantly forgetting things. He ends up thinking the bad people are the ones that raped and killed his wife, and he fricks them up
He probably got the rapist/murderer years ago, but his condition prevents him from remembering that. So hes basically a roving justice machine that is a magnet for buttholes

The idea is that you're inside a polaroid, too, and one that says 'Memento' is right next to your face, but you can't see it.
Maybe yours is labeled "He doesn't get it," or "Some memories are best forgotten," with a billing block underneath.

Guy Pearces character is truly evil when you think about it.
He chooses to forget he got revenge every time he finds out or thinks he accomplished it, because he legit prefers his personal narrative where he can be on some permanent crusade for justice. Even though it means he chooses to become a fricking serial killer in the process
First time I watched it I really thought Teddy was evil, and that Carrie Anne Moss was a monster… but honestly they’re both better people than him
>Teddy actually helped dude get his real revenge >Guy chooses to not believe it once he forgets because the pursuit of it is all he is really living for >teddy decides to just let him live out this fantasy since it’s the closest he gets to happiness, and as a side deal he can have scumbags killed and pocket their money (he clearly gives Guy his share too because how else is affording endless hotels and cars and gas?)
>Carrie Anne Moss realises almost immediately guy murdered her boyfriend because he’s wearing his fricking suit and driving his car. >she manages to actually forgive Guy since she realises he really doesn’t remember doing it, and assumes this was 100% on Teddy tricking him, not guys personal desires >Carrie legit thinks she is helping find the real killer when she gives him Teddy’s registration page
And at the end, after guy kills teddy as revenge for him “tricking” him into killing people. What does Guy do? He CHOOSES TO FORGET IT AGAIN. He chooses to keep on travelling around looking for John G’s to kill
Makes the previous clues even more annoying
>police report he has, has a ton of parts redacted in black marker… Guy himself did this to make the puzzle impossible to solve, like teddy said >his tattoo’s are ones to keep him from actually figuring out he’s done. One of the worst is him adding “or james” in a separate tattoo for the part where it says FACTS about the killer. Because he presumably felt just killing johns was too limiting
Because the entire film starts with him getting killed for being his wife’s killer. And Guy Pearce reading “don’t believe his lies” over and over. How did you fall asleep during the intentional misleads?
but it's obviously more to it then that
there was nothing that he did in the movie (that the audience witnesses as well) that would make you think "wow this dude is EVIL" and he came across as an annoying doofus but a friend nonetheless
>teddy decides to just let him live out this fantasy since it’s the closest he gets to happiness, and as a side deal he can have scumbags killed
It's sort of a re-working of Strangers On A Train where Guy is more easily managed, and Bruno (Teddy) is more morally gray.
>On the 2 Disc, Limited Edition R1 DVD, a "chronological" version can be found by going through the questionnaires on the second disc. When the question comes on screen concerning the lady with a flat tire, answer the 4-part question in reverse order (#3, then #4, #1, and #2) and the "chronological" version will play.
This is from the Memento Special Edition DVD. That version must be out there on some tracker somewhere.

I was the one who posted it first and I'm baffled how you didn't read such a short thread. Also do you think all these I fricking love nolan movies you guis threads are organic?
>Also do you think all these I fricking love nolan movies you guis threads are organic?
Why not? There's a large amount of people out there who have heard about Nolan being such a great movie maker, so it's possible that they go see Oppenheimer, but then find out that it wasn't really for them, and then they explore is his other movies instead.

Neither. I have on this site since 2005, very likely way before you.
>Don't even bother to pretend Cinemaphile isn't shilled constantly
I'm not saying that it isn't, but 1) Why the frick would anyone attempt to shill Oppenheimer through a Memento thread? 2) How the frick would making a Memento thread shill Oppenheimer? How would that work?

I have been banned by Snacks a dozen times. I'm from back in the day when 99% of people didn't even know what moot looked like and they thought meximoot was the real thing.
>You're a shill or an idiot. Either way eat shit.
So you don't have any actual explanation for how someone making a Memento thread could possibly be a shill for Oppenheimer. Are you an actual schizo?

1) Where did anyone in this thread say that Nolan is an awesome director? Point out posts.
2) Why are you sperging out on me to begin with, when I literally linked to a pirated version of Memento?
3) How would any posts in this thread help promote Oppenheimer in any way?
Answer these, in depth, or I will chalk you up to being a severely mentally ill schizo.

Mentally ill schizos like you are the reason why Cinemaphile (and this whole site as well) is so bad these days. This is my last post to you.
if his memory reset 2 minutes after fricking a hot woman, would he instantly be horny and get hard again seeing her all naked or would his body still be in a state of limp?
get off your phone
QT started the trend of taking a story and cutting it up to rearrange the order.
But if you did get it, how would that make you feel?

The first two minutes are where bravonolan got the idea for tenet, clearly
Try watching the movie.
All you need to know is that the machine didn't work.

is there an internet cut where they just edit the movie normally?
