Unironically this. People (me included) liked Marvel and their placement in the film landscape. I don't really like them anymore (since before Quantumania, to be sure, but still). They formula is formula-ing and it's not pleasant to me.

First film was sandwiched between two Avengers movies, with a lot of hype and speculation on the role Captain Marvel will play in Endgame. Marvel was at its peak and even a turd would have done well.
Now we have apathy and indifference and most of these fricking films are bombing or barely scraping by without taking a total loss.
