Has anyone else referenced Scott being completely willing to start a family with her, only to back out when she told him the baby wasn’t his?

The idea is meant to be that he's Carol's type, but she won't ever date him because he's an ex-con, so she's trying to set her pathetic friend up with him instead.

Bendis and Quesada hated Scott and saw him being in the Avengers because of Johns as the sort of the DC type superhero stories they wanted Marvel to get away from with Bendis's NA/USM,
    Millar's Ultimates/UXM, Bru's Cap and Fraction's IM.

Part of it was Quesada, Bendis and Millar thinking the Avengers were full of characters they thought were unpopular D-listers, and how they wanted to turn it into an all-star book. Poor Ant-Man became one of the main guys they were pointing to in making their argument.

There's also a rumor Bendis had wanted to kill Ant-Man in one of his Alias stories, but couldn't because Geoff Johns' Avengers run was using him. So as soon as Bendis took over Avengers, the first thing he did was kill Ant-Man.

And then synergy kicked in and Scott was revived thanks to the first Ant-Man movie.

If only those tards had known the MCU was going to make them all stars, Bendis would never have been allowed to kill Ant-Man, Hawkeye and Vision, or do everything he did to Wanda.

Some comic book writers are so petty and will pull some disgusting shit on characters they personally dislike just because they can get away with it.
