I don't get why Checkered Past doesn't want to air the show. Parents had no problem with the show.

That anon is talking about the alien cousins from the second season, not Uranus and Neptune
And nothing to do with the show perse but this week the original Japanese Tuxedo Mask VA (also Yamcha's in Dragon Ball and Seiya's in Saint Seiya) said he had sex with a fan, then beat her up and forced her to have an abortion after she got pregnant
I am talking about Uranus and Neptune, they're from Alabama.

The "cousins" thing was a DiC dub only thing dumb dumb.

They weren't just lesbians, they were hicks.

No? That's not part of their characters at all

DiC wasn't dubbing Sailor Moon anymore by S. A lesser company called Cloverway was responsible for the cousins thing.

Cloverway were only the rights middleman, they're the same people who got so much anime on LatAm like GS Mikami or Hell Teacher Nube

GS Mikami actually got an English dub which aired on AXN Asia, unlike the LatAm dub it was censored and they removed the nudity and all the scenes of Mikami getting molested by Yokoshima, aside froma few clips the dub is lost

>the dub is lost
Good, censored shit shouldn't be preserved.
Usagi is naked for the entirely of the last episode but I doubt CN would get that far with the airing (it is 200 fricking episodes after all)
It's pretty hit-or-miss. S2+S3 are more consistent, but even its best never reaches S1's highs... but it also never reaches S1's lows. The rap episode and everything with Jungle Boy sucks.

they came after pepe le pew and he's next
Burgerland is mentally ill and quietly cancelled JB
If you want to watch the show try LA Hbo Max
You're all giving these people too much credit to even imply they care about the feelings of women. Which would be nice, even if this is utterly stupid of them. Assuming OP is correct, they're actually doing it because they're scared of ratings or bad press that would look bad at their next performance review.
Then they can re-sell it as 'controversial' in five years time and manchildren with the brain of a five year old can go 'oh, it's really edgy, I want this, take that libs!', or 'it's heckin' problematic but it'll be fun to watch ironically in secret!'.
And worse, it's obvious. They are that stupid. This is what happens when you do like the LA TV executives and do tons of coke. Fricks with your perception
I propose that the only people who are so sensitive that they call Johnny Bravo problematic are in fact such closeted perverts that they consider his antics a personal attack. Pedowood isn't just a rumor.
It's honestly hilarious, you have the main villain in the dyke house who is supposed to be this irredeemably evil strawman and yet he's completely tolerant towards gays existing cause they don't want to acknowledge homophobia
NTA but why do you think that's bait? Most people here agree S4 has the most dogshit episodes of the whole series where it became about funny talking animals and celebrity cameos instead of about Johnny.

This tbh.
S2 and S3 were peak Johnny Bravi and when the show became truly popular. Van Partible made a great character but he wasn't the right showrunner.
Based, only season 2-3 are any good, removing Pops in season 4 was mistake since the episodes went from 6 mins long to 11 mins long and Johnny had no one to talk to besides Suzy and the guest stars, his mom barely showed up in season 4 too
Parents had more of a problem with Cow and Chicken and Ed Edd n Eddy than they did Johnny Bravo. I'm not sure what caused Ed Edd n Eddy to be divisive with parents
my mom and dad both fricking loved johnny bravo. Until very recently I hadn't even realized he'd been considered problematic. He's constantly getting the shit beat out of him for being sexist, I don't know how anyone could argue the show is promoting his behavior.
NTA but in LatAm they no longer air Johnny Bravo in the Tooncast channel (last time they aired it was in 2020), he's not part of Checkered Past in Adult Swim LatAm either, but you can find most of the episodes on MAX unlike the American version which doesn't have the show at all
>They took off Johnny from Tooncast?
Yeah, all the shows they removed now air in Adult Swim Latam as part of Checkered Past minus Johnny Bravo which was omitted
Then why not air it? I think with how things are now is more of a reason to air it. Johnny hits on girls and gets his ass beat all the time. Why wouldn't the modern era want to see that?
How was Johnny Bravo able to get on a kids network when kids networks always want child protagonist? The only exceptions are when they are superheroes or animals and even then, superhero kids became more common than superhero adults as time went on
It might be shocking now, but back when CN was new they were pitching themselves as a network for all ages.
It was pretty accurate at the time too. My dad loved watching Johnny Bravo when he could catch it, and Rocky and Bullwinkle at night
Johnny Bravo would’ve probably worked better on a channel like FOX or MTV. It’s a concept that needed more adult content, but since it ended on a family-friendly network (at the time) the creator didn’t know what to do with it, hence the talking animals and celebrities.
Idk about nu-parents, but mine thought this show was hilarious back in the day. CHECK THE PECS!
Sailor Moon which would be airing on Toonami Rewind next week unironically has worse stuff on it than anything on Johnny Bravo
I don't see it lasting, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are both done and nowhere popular like they used to be.
Such as?
>Incest lesbian cousins.
>e-girl getting fricked by a horse.
You forgot the relationship between Nephrite (adult) and Naru (14 years old)
And nothing to do with the show perse but this week the original Japanese Tuxedo Mask VA (also Yamcha's in Dragon Ball and Seiya's in Saint Seiya) said he had sex with a fan, then beat her up and forced her to have an abortion after she got pregnant
The incest cousins thing wasn't in the original Japanese version... was it?

It has some light nudity too, but since it is airing as part of Adult Swim I doubt they care about that
Usagi is naked for the entirely of the last episode but I doubt CN would get that far with the airing (it is 200 fricking episodes after all)
I disagree, my rank would be:
>Season 2-3
1 >literal shit>>>>
4
It's the modern crop of suits who find the show problematic. Johnny's behavior is never seen as in the right of course but frick nuance

seasons 1 and 4 aren't funny.

S1 is amazing
It's pretty hit-or-miss. S2+S3 are more consistent, but even its best never reaches S1's highs... but it also never reaches S1's lows. The rap episode and everything with Jungle Boy sucks.
Season 1 is great. Season 4 was weaker than 2 and 3, but still fine.
This tbh.

Season 4 had the best episode of the series (Run Johnny Run).
At the VERY least, I wish they would release the whole series on something other than iTunes.
Parents had more of a problem with Cow and Chicken and Ed Edd n Eddy than they did Johnny Bravo. I'm not sure what caused Ed Edd n Eddy to be divisive with parents
I know why, you know why, we all know why
Johnny wanted Daphne
Why would he settle for Velma
my mom and dad both fricking loved johnny bravo. Until very recently I hadn't even realized he'd been considered problematic. He's constantly getting the shit beat out of him for being sexist, I don't know how anyone could argue the show is promoting his behavior.
You can't get away with a character like Johnny Bravo in a kids' show anymore.
He got a happy ending, leave him be.
Cartoon Network is not cancel culturing Johnny Bravo, that's just boogeyman talk from you all.

homie he's memory-holed
Then why not air it? I think with how things are now is more of a reason to air it. Johnny hits on girls and gets his ass beat all the time. Why wouldn't the modern era want to see that?
Nuance is dead
They changed "problematic" lyrics in the shit mermaid remake just in case the people watching it have brain damage
I had this one back when I was little, but lost it, I still have the Courage one
