Sailor Moon which would be airing on Toonami Rewind next week unironically has worse stuff on it than anything on Johnny Bravo

I don't see it lasting, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are both done and nowhere popular like they used to be.

And nothing to do with the show perse but this week the original Japanese Tuxedo Mask VA (also Yamcha's in Dragon Ball and Seiya's in Saint Seiya) said he had sex with a fan, then beat her up and forced her to have an abortion after she got pregnant

DiC wasn't dubbing Sailor Moon anymore by S. A lesser company called Cloverway was responsible for the cousins thing.

Cloverway were only the rights middleman, they're the same people who got so much anime on LatAm like GS Mikami or Hell Teacher Nube

GS Mikami actually got an English dub which aired on AXN Asia, unlike the LatAm dub it was censored and they removed the nudity and all the scenes of Mikami getting molested by Yokoshima, aside froma few clips the dub is lost

Usagi is naked for the entirely of the last episode but I doubt CN would get that far with the airing (it is 200 fricking episodes after all)

It's pretty hit-or-miss. S2+S3 are more consistent, but even its best never reaches S1's highs... but it also never reaches S1's lows. The rap episode and everything with Jungle Boy sucks.

I disagree, my rank would be:

You're all giving these people too much credit to even imply they care about the feelings of women. Which would be nice, even if this is utterly stupid of them. Assuming OP is correct, they're actually doing it because they're scared of ratings or bad press that would look bad at their next performance review.

Then they can re-sell it as 'controversial' in five years time and manchildren with the brain of a five year old can go 'oh, it's really edgy, I want this, take that libs!', or 'it's heckin' problematic but it'll be fun to watch ironically in secret!'.

And worse, it's obvious. They are that stupid. This is what happens when you do like the LA TV executives and do tons of coke. Fricks with your perception

I propose that the only people who are so sensitive that they call Johnny Bravo problematic are in fact such closeted perverts that they consider his antics a personal attack. Pedowood isn't just a rumor.

Based, only season 2-3 are any good, removing Pops in season 4 was mistake since the episodes went from 6 mins long to 11 mins long and Johnny had no one to talk to besides Suzy and the guest stars, his mom barely showed up in season 4 too

NTA but in LatAm they no longer air Johnny Bravo in the Tooncast channel (last time they aired it was in 2020), he's not part of Checkered Past in Adult Swim LatAm either, but you can find most of the episodes on MAX unlike the American version which doesn't have the show at all

How was Johnny Bravo able to get on a kids network when kids networks always want child protagonist? The only exceptions are when they are superheroes or animals and even then, superhero kids became more common than superhero adults as time went on

It might be shocking now, but back when CN was new they were pitching themselves as a network for all ages.
It was pretty accurate at the time too. My dad loved watching Johnny Bravo when he could catch it, and Rocky and Bullwinkle at night

Johnny Bravo would’ve probably worked better on a channel like FOX or MTV. It’s a concept that needed more adult content, but since it ended on a family-friendly network (at the time) the creator didn’t know what to do with it, hence the talking animals and celebrities.
