Don’t forget there’s an It’s Always Sunny episode that got removed or two
Aqua Teen with blackface Shake
And even The Shivering Truth for calling a cop a pig
The creator even said that the whole cast was in on the joke and no one was offended in the slightest because it was a truly colorblind society but everyone involved is retroactively Hitler and should be ashamed.
Least it doesn't have Whoopi Goldberg giving a speech about how problematic attitudes back then were like the last time they re-released Spider-Man 1 on dvd
>Films that present bias towards non-white and non-heterosexual people
they mean Bias against, rather than bias towards. bias towards means they would be portraying them in an overly positive light. Figures, I guess if they could write properly I guess they wouldn't be writing for screenrant
This shit pissed me off. They also pulled the episodes from the blu-ray, but they didn't update the packaging in any way, so until you put a disc in and pull up the menu, you have no idea if it's the new version or not.
I'm thankful that they didn't edit the original footage but it's stupid that there's even a warning to begin with. In a sane society this would be a non-issue, that's how I feel.
In a couple of years we're going to have government agents coming to your home to make sure you don't own any "outdated paraphernalia" or whatever bullshit phrase they'll come up with, you'll never lay a finger on my DVDs glowie.
The following program contains depictions of homosexuality, enforced diversity and feminism. They were wrong then and they are wrong now. Viewer discretion is advised.
you got triggered by a trigger warning?
tell us then op. what is the point of your thread

>scrubs is heckin racist now
Fricking hell the overton window is real

This is why i have physical media...
Ripped and sitting on my own NAS

What was problematic about the first Spiderman?
The first and second web lynching scenes certainly caused debate back then from what I remember
does she talk about the difference between rape and rape-rape?
>Whoopi Goldberg giving a speech about how problematic attitudes back then were
But that was the one with Whoopi Goldberg. It was on the Looney tunes DVDs.

I don't mind a little "Things used to be fricked up back then" message before the movie/show as long as the movie/show is completely untouched.
>as long as the movie/show is completely untouched
These types aren't content with warnings.
>Um, we don't agree with the views in these old cartoons of ours, but we're still going to make money off them!
Disingenuous corporate bullshit
They can reuse those words when introducing all the woke BS of our times in a hundred years, prejudice being against straight white males
a warning that duplicating Product™ is strictly prohibited by the FBI™ followed by a "this film is a product of its time" is peak neoliberalism.
The black and yellow colors are kinda based and you can’t read anything except
“The cartoons you are
their time.
Racial Prejudices
Society”
What else do we see normally happen now that no one thinks is wrong but will be wrong now and wrong in the future?
There will be many warnings once being white is made illegal and homosexuality is made compulsory.
This George Floyd shit is gay as frick. That's the kind of movie I expect to see on channels like Sundance, tcm, and IFC.
Fair enough. Any time anybody says anything bad about moronic white southerners I want a check in the mail.
Play their game.
This is a perfectly reasonable diplomatic statement. Better than removing hecking problematic scenes like streaming services are doing now.
so much for assuming adults are smart enough to realize older shit may not be all woke like they want things to be.
>adults
Anon most people who watch cartoons are under 40.
I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
It is always so surreal to see these warnings written by israelites (the ones who owned most of the slaves)
>We profitted off racist jokes then, and we continue to profit off it now
>>but we feel wewwy bad

You should feel demoralized, that's their goal.
it's based.
denying history is cringe.
