s1 was a great concept with some great actors. But it was loaded with cheap nonsense.

The season had good stuff, but it was all built on mystery boxes, and we should have learned by now that mystery boxes never pay off
What if that Erickson chap had it all (or at least mostly) worked out before they started filming, though? He wrote the first script years ago, and just because JJ Abrams is a lazy, talentless hack, that doesn't mean he necessarily is. I choose to remain optimistic.

It wasnt all built on them, but it turned that way REAL quick. It COULD have stayed on the premise and never suggest the company was evil or nefarious and not go into figuring out what thing they do at all. It COULD have explored the idea of splitting your life and what that entails.
But no, we went with mystery and "oh no company bad" again.
S2 will suck.

Don't make that mistake anon. Lost started as lost, aka a show without a plan. It's like a business that starts as a pizza shop and pivots yearly to fine dining, weed, nail salon, tax center, then day care. They only wanted people to come to the location and give them money. They didn't actually want to make a good show, nor a good pizza place.
