I’m no movie aficionado. I mean I like movies but I can’t tell you shit about them I’m a coherent way. I’m a 44 year old fricking loser and among the jobs I’ve had had been a school janitor in two separate school districts.

I can’t tell you what the point of the character was but I can tell you that the janitors and secretaries are the gears that run the machine. They are the people you don’t want to piss off and if you want to know what’s going on in the building, you ask them. They seem far less important than they actually are and (especially janitors) being surrounded by educated people magnifies the effect.

Seems like a cope low level workers like to tell to themselves and impressionable kids to seem more important than they are.
      >being surrounded by educated people magnifies the effect.
imagine looking less of a person than a fricking highschool teacher (a.k.a. a failure)

High school janitors in my area get paid as much or more than jobs at the University; jobs that require degrees.

          impressive

Yeah moron except the teachers will tell you the same thing. It’s almost as if you’ve never worked in a school and are just a miserable person who likes to shit post.

I would 100% rather be a janitor than a teacher, though.

Depends on the area. I wouldn't want to clean up after ghetto kids.

        Yes, it's all just cope
        >bad wages
        >terrible working hours
        >don't know when they'll be deactivated
        >has no valuable skills, he'll be fricked out of his enviroment
Even a teacher is better off because they can learn to code or teach something outside of school.

      >but I can tell you that the janitors and secretaries are the gears that run the machine
in my experience they're shit heads who shirk as much responsibility and work as possible, actively hide from doing their role until the last second and never answer their phones. Also they complain at you, you can't have a conversation with them without them just griping constantly and incessantly

        >hide from doing their role until the last second and never answer their phones.
Since you mentioned phones I’m assuming you’re talking about secretaries. I can’t imagine how this plays out in a front facing role. Mansplain to me how a secretary pulls this off. Does the phone just ring? Do they just abandon their desk during the day? Does the principal not notice all the parents, students and deliveries just waiting in the office with a nonstop ringing phone?

        I wonder if you’re a parent of a shithead.

maybe wherever you worked dude, the janitors in my school, when i was a student, were barely sentient orcs, they could literally not string two sentences together. i'm not using this as an idiom or expression, they literally could not have two consecutive thoughts that were related to each other. they were literal grotesque mouth breathers who looked at you with a subhuman open mouthed animal intensity. years later i saw pajeet hotel staff and they reminded me of that.
maybe they were secretly genuises because they knew how to clean shit and unplug a toilet and do basic electrical work like change a light bulb or replace a burned wire. but i fricking doubt it.
you seem to be able to communicate at a human level. that puts you head and shoulders above the jannys i've met.

        >maybe wherever you worked dude, the janitors in my school, when i was a student,
Stopped reading there. I’m sorry but the students know the absolute least about what goes on behind the scenes. What kind of school did you go to where you were hanging out with the janitors instead of being in the classroom, being educated? Also, do you have some aversion against proper grammar? Try capital letters.

You're a fricking moron. You keep it running, yeah, but your work is easy enough to be learned quickly, so your importance of really short term as you can be substituted fast. And that's the difference of low intelligence jobs like yours and high intelligence jobs.
