I don't understand how anyone could like this garbage beyond being a W*st*rn "anime" and being video game adaptation. People think that it is a good adaptation only because it is animated. It is the same league as Halo if not worse.
I don't know anyone who likes it and I've only played castlevania 2. I thought it started alright but all the plotlines ended in wet farts and the dialogue killed me.
>not what you're used to
Let me guess, it lists religion is LE BAD, the dumb violence and childish swearing. I totally haven't seen these anywhere else.
>Alucard getting rectally reamed shouldn't have been a suprise to anyone, especially after SOTN.
Not really since he's depicted as a sexless autistic loner, especially in future works, unless you're going purely by physical appearance.
The writing was my only real issue with it. Mind you that is a very big factor. But It could keep the same music, aesthetics, voice cast etc. and I'd have no issue.
>Castlevania barley has a plot innthe games.
If you played Castlevania and concluded that it is how Dracula is actually a good guy and Church is true bad guys, then you are just moronic.
I think the upcoming Vampire Survivors show will prove that. If it's better than Castlevania, it will still fly under the radar.
>I think the upcoming Vampire Survivors show will prove that. If it's better than Castlevania, it will still fly under the radar.
What does that actually prove? That the Castlevania IP is bigger than the Vampire Survivor IP? I don't get what you are trying to say.
Dracula can be sympathetic but he's still this fictional universe:s version of the antichrist. Making him a dindu who goes to heaven is nonsensical.
The church is strict and even antagonistic to the Belmonts at times but they are NOT supposed to be evil themselves. They end up playing an important part in killing Dracula for real too.
>Dracula comes back to life and gets his wife back after he attempted to wipe out all humanity
Why would you even do that if you're going to do a sequel? Why the frick does he deserve that? Why ruin the actual moment of pathos when you did kill him? What's with all the black people in medieval Wallachia?
>it's another "/vr/ comes to Cinemaphile to b***h about Castlevania" thread
This show was good, the threesome scene was in-character and made sense, Nocturne looks exciting, the games are still great and I'm glad the show deviates and streamlines shit.
>the threesome scene was in-character and made sense
I mean, I liked the show but not really, unless you're one of those people that saw Netflix Alucard as a Lestat or Constantine reference. The source material character was a sexless autist who only ever loved one woman and the radio drama and mobile game double down on that.
It's sad but it's inevitable. For some reason Konsmi doesn't even want the games to be on life support. They want them DEAD. Even the phone game never went global.
It's a real bummer knowing Hector's going to be eternally known as that guy who got foreverial prisonerized in a show written by a fetishizing, abusive creep.
One of the weirdest parts about this show I haven't seen people bring up is that we're going to get 8-12 seasons worth of episodes, and it'll never pull off an actual Belmont vs Dracula story. If they bring Dracula back during Nocturne, it'll be in Season 2 at the earliest. Unless they plan on resurrecting him twice in the same series, Richter can't kill him off before they do SOTN.
The real issue is they pretty much have to ignore the previous show to even keep Dracula a villain, unless they somehow explain that Shaft figuratively drags him out of heaven to have him cause chaos or something. They were so focused on redeeming Dracula in the last season they didn't think about how it effects other popular games they could adapt.
Why? The IP is Cinemaphileerminshit. I don't think the show is good either, but if you want to actually explore the source material go watch the Universal and Hammer movies it cribbed from, or watch anything by Kawajiri if you want moody action schlock.
konami doesn't care about castlevania lore either

It is very badly written as standalone show much less as an adaptation. The concept of an anti-narrative feels like a big cope.
What da hail is an anti-narrative?
It is when people act like not having a coherent plot is a good thing.
>muh sympathetic character
>I could fix him!
Femoid thinking
>not what you're used to
Let me guess, it lists religion is LE BAD, the dumb violence and childish swearing. I totally haven't seen these anywhere else.
>I don't know anyone who likes
?? the threads about the new series some days ago were filled with pure Cinemaphilemblr and everyone was loving it
Halo has lore!? I always thought it was just about a dude in power armor shooting aliens.
What was worse,"John Halo" cucking Cortana or Alucard being fricked in the ass on screen?
>I feel sort of sad knowing that this will define the IP for a lot of people.
....and we call those people fricking morons.
The first. Alucard getting rectally reamed shouldn't have been a suprise to anyone, especially after SOTN.
>Alucard getting rectally reamed shouldn't have been a suprise to anyone, especially after SOTN.
Not really since he's depicted as a sexless autistic loner, especially in future works, unless you're going purely by physical appearance.
I am going by the only cannon that matters! Pron doujins!
And you only need ONE of the two to want the sex. Sexless loner making bad sex decision and getting ass plundered I think is suitable.
It's truly impressive. It's about as faithful as captain /n/. Japanese slot machines do a better job.
HALO was absolutely bad
castlevania is good because of the writing
>castlevania is good because of the writing
Prove it. Nobody would have given a shit about this show without the Castlevania IP.
I think the upcoming vampire Survivors show will prove that. If it's better than Castlevania, it will still fly under the radar.
>castlevania is bad because of the writing
Fixed
This. Netflixvania feels like it was written by a 13 year old edgy antitheist edgelord going through their chuuni phase.
It was written by Warren Ellis, yes
Remember when he made his fanfic OC Batman and Superman stand-ins into homosexuals?
Gays will never look organic, it's either looks disgusting, stupid, funny or a combination of mentioned things
> t.seething closet queer
Uh huh
The writing was my only real issue with it. Mind you that is a very big factor. But It could keep the same music, aesthetics, voice cast etc. and I'd have no issue.
>castlevania is good because of the writing
Castlevania barley has a plot innthe games. This is like getting mad over the marrio movie
Whichb you probly did
>Castlevania barley has a plot innthe games.

It proves that the only thing Netflixvania has going for it is its IP, it will beat out Vampire Survivors regardless of actual quality.
>Dracula being sympathetic is bad!
b***h about every other Dracula adaptation since 1992, then.
>the church isn't bad!
It very much is. Being super whiny about it is a Warren Ellis trope.
being sympathetic is bad!
Kinda fricks up Soma's whole struggle if he was an alright guy the whole time.
And they still managed to get what it had completely wrong.
Like, some plot points are literally opposite of what happened in the games
>Dracula comes back to life and gets his wife back after he attempted to wipe out all humanity
Why would you even do that if you're going to do a sequel? Why the frick does he deserve that? Why ruin the actual moment of pathos when you did kill him? What's with all the black people in medieval Wallachia?
Both are shit adaptations.
I think that is the point of the meme
I dunno, the wording of the Halo part seems to imply he wouldn't know if it was good or not cause he's not a real fan anyways.
I absolutely hate how this show made it impossible to talk about the games without hornyposting teenaged girls or trolls ruining all discussions.
It made Cinemaphile absolutely insufferable, well... MORE insufferable.
Watch as they make Erszebet Bathory stronger than Dracula.
So how bad do you guys think Nocturne will get? Well, aside from all future Belmonts being Belmutts.
>Belmutts
My sides
At least it made people aware of how fricking garbage Ellis is.
Even though nocturne has a new writer, the damage has been done.
I don't know, people still worship that sex pest.
I hope he never works again.
So this defining the IP for me is a good thing? Because it's either this or Captain N.
Maybe you should play the fricking games then.
They're free, moron
>it's another "/vr/ comes to Cinemaphile to b***h about Castlevania" thread
This show was good, the threesome scene was in-character and made sense, Nocturne looks exciting, the games are still great and I'm glad the show deviates and streamlines shit.
The continued b***hing is just sad at this stage.
Blatant baiting should be bannable offense at this point
>the threesome scene was in-character and made sense

This was one of the last cartoons with cool male leads tbh
Anyone who disagrees with you is a homosexual OP. The game series kicks the absolutely shit out of this fricking souless black otaku hot garbage.

Why the frick couldn't we just a six episode series about Simon directed by Tartakovsky?
