I don't like the new seasons of Total Drama. Other than the crazy goth girl, none of the cast hard good looking.
It's worse than S1 by a lot, but still pretty good. Even with the character assassinations, the cast is too good for it to fall below a certain level.
I feel like people are too harsh on it, it was certainly not All Stars-tier.
A lot of people say it's near All Stars in ranking, not that it's complete AS tier. But Reboot S2 is absolutely in the bottom 3 of the series. It's not a good season if its rampant with character assassination, no interaction effort (one of the best parts of TD) and terrible writing.
Near All Stars tier is insane. All Stars, Action and PI are all worse I think

Action is better. Trent was a mistake, the ending is botched, and Courtney is a weak villain but other than that it's good.

No hate since I like Julia but am also a Priya stan, but Julia had some of the worst plot armor in the franchise in this season
Julia and Priya/Caleb can share the honor of being terrible. The latter being a charisma-less black hole and Julia having genuinely egregious plot armor. Everyone knew she was a b***h yet fell for her shit. Even worse is that she gets almost everything done offscreen and independent chars like MK were reduced to her lackeys out of nowhere.
Action is much better than Reboot S2 and its not close. S2 has a lot of Action's flaws but even worse along with just terrible stuff never seen before in TD. Action at least bothered to have the characters talk to each other and didn't make a relationship hog ALL the screentime. No relationship is more of a black hole than Priya and Caleb.
Oh and Action had the decency to dunk on Heather, nobody trusted her and she left pre-merge. Rematch genuinely tried to treat Julia as a two-time credible threat. To the point Bowie and MK somehow get more hate/distrust by the contestants than Julia. Total BS.
Objectively it isn't as bad as all-stars, but it shares a lot of the same bad qualities and wasn't as entertaining as the absolute shitshow that was the Zoke show. The fact that people will really only ever bring up MKulia says a lot about how flat the season fell.
It'll only go downhill from here guys (The only way the Total Drama franchise and Fresh TV will survive is more DramaRama)

The season 1 final four continues to carry, laughing my fricking ass off at twitter/reddit/insta etc. crying over Lake's elimination
I really hope season 1 characters just run circles around season 2 ones all season. Though Jake going early would be a plus…
Step 1: Make a very lengthy pre-challenge exchange between Caleb and Priya. Be sure to make them talk about things they already resolved so that the audience remembers how great they are together!
Step 2: Give the viewers some Julia screentime because we forgot to add more villains.
Step 3: It's challenge time! Make sure the challenge revolves around Caleb, Priya and Julia, we wouldn't want the audience to forget they exist.
Step 4: Wayne is bad at challenges lol! Funny dumb Canadian man!
Step 5: Dumb down every single character and make them stop trying to win the challenge so that Julia can win again. If it is not possible to do this, have her randomly win the challenge by luck!
Step 6: Spin the wheel to eliminate a random character! If it lands on Caleb, Priya or Julia then spin again!
Step 7: Don't forget to add a Julia confessional explaining how she was actually the reason that character got eliminated! We forgot to give that character any screentime in the episode so why would they get eliminated otherwise?
