Do what says. There's no way you caught everything the first time through. The series is littered with small details and subtle foreshadowing that are easy to miss unless you read a wiki trivia page beforehand.
I mean, I had it before Telltale went bankrupt so I can play it whenever I want. Though I'm sure you can find it on the high seas if you're really craving some Brock.
unironically watch it again but with the commetary audio on, if you downloaded it there is a torrent with it if you dig enough, it just a whole new experience to do that
Track down the Art book (gonna have to be the digital version) and learn about the show's development.
Also watch The Tick, Publick worked on it before the VB
Is there a cartoon that comes close to having this level of care and specificity that was infused into The Venture Bros.? The art book is truly something special, and it gives you even greater appreciation for the series and its creators (if that's even possible).
How did Venture Bros never get its own comic ala Rick and Morty? They can even excuse continuity by saying it's a different Dean and Hank the same way the R&M comic is in a different dimension. I just want more content so bad ;_;
The creators like to have full control over the story and characters and probably wouldn't let anyone else write comics for them. Maybe we'll get something from them after the movie if it does well enough. They've mentioned before that they've wanted to do a Robot Chicken special but things just never aligned at the right time.
Them doing a Robot Chicken special would be magical.

Seth Green loves the show and even voiced some characters back in season 4 so it could totally happen if Hammer and Publick wanna do it. Who knows, maybe the whole puppet segment that got shown at the end of the latest season of RC was more of a foreshadowing thing

Not that surprised that Seth Green would love. Even people I know that don't care for the show still have a lot of respect for it due to how much love Doc and Jackson have for it and how it's plot has grown and developed.
I mean, Lazzo did give Sam Hyde a show. I won't lie, I still get a laugh at the israelites rock video. Mostly when the camera pans to the [adult swim] producers completely unamused.
Wait for more news or a trailer for the movie I guess. I bought the Go Team Venture book a while back and that was great but it only goes up to season 6 since it came out before 7 started airing. Hoping they put out another book for the last season + the movie and that they talk about how they were originally gonna end the show. I feel like they were pretty close anyway, just wish there was more time to send off all the characters in a really satisfying way. I'm really gonna miss show.
Mike Lazzo was a huge supporter of the show (He even got a cameo in the episode Every which way but zeus) and put up with the long development cycles because he enjoyed the series so much.
When he retired and a new set of executives took over, guess which show was first on the chopping block?
literally the most overrated [as] show in history. only got good ratings because people left the tv on after family guy ended.
loads of good characters and designs completely drowned out by horrible writing.
if you see this thread and wonder to yourself: "should I watch this show?", the answer is no.
I binged through the whole thing about two years ago. Just do like I did and start scouring through the Wiki, catching little details and references you might've missed along the way.
We didn't get any news at this years Comic Con for the movie? I swear I saw an artist who worked on the show say they wrapped up working on it not too long ago.
Yea, just near the end of last month he mentioned it in an interview. So that probably means we won't see anything until Summer/Fall 2023 at the earliest
I imagine they're probably gonna leave some loose threads so they can possibly return after the movie, but at the same time, I can imagine they probably want to take a break, given they've been working on the series for twenty years
This show had a couple of Wild Wasteland Perk events in the Fallout New Vegas Old World Blues add on. Dr O is voiced by James Urbaniak, the voice of adult Rusty Venture can be heard over the P.A. ordering the lobotomites to wash the Walking Eye.. Also, walking eyes can be found in the hydromagneto complex. Dr. O is very much an homage to Rusty Venture, displaying nearly all the same mannerisms and issues.
I know they won’t be able to escape their fate and failure will be the lasting Venture legacy... but I really want to see these two get a good end in the movie. Is it too much to ask that Dean and Hank break the cycle?
I don't wanna derail the thread but something's bugging me. In one of the season 7 episodes on HBO Max, during the scene where Hank walks in on Dean fricking his girl, there's a bright poster in the background that says in bold letters: SCIENCE SAVES LIVES, GET VACCINATED. I found it really weird since the episode came out years before covid when that kind of rhetoric became very common. Was that in the original airing or edited in for streaming services post-covid?
Yeah but it was mostly in regards to children and people not giving them shots cause of autism or whatever. With that in mind wouldn't the message include children?
It also seems really out of character for the show to just blatantly tell the viewer how to behave regarding a current topic. Especially for a topic that, sure, existed, but wasn't really en vogue during 2018.
Again I'm not here to debate or anything, I'm just wondering if it was in the original broadcast cause it seemed so out of place.
>I'm just wondering if it was in the original broadcast cause it seemed so out of place.
It was, I just checked the episode on my hard drive that I downloaded the same night it aired. You're right in that it definitely does seem a little strange and out of place.
Anti-vaccine nuts have been around longer than you think, like way back in the 1800s. As long as there have been vaccines there have been people who form groups against them. Unfortunately in the 90s and early 00s idiots with talk shows (I mostly blame that fricking cow Opera) would give anti-vaxxers slots on their shows to scream about how we're poisoning our children with vaccines and how they're linked to autism (they're not).

It doesn't mention children specifically because in general you get most of your shots when you're a kid. Didn't you guys have to get specific shots before you were aloud in school or is that not a thing anymore? Back in 2005 when I when I was a freshman in HS I literally got sent home because my mom forgot to take me to get a shot over the summer. Or the poster could be referring to vaccines for countries that don't generally have access to the ones we take for granted here in the states.
People knew Trump was a shady mother fricker before he was president but this is more for the gag that they turned the Trump Tower into the villain condo units.
>I feel empty
Same. I finished it this past winter and I've never felt such a void after finishing a piece of media. Icouldn't bring myself to watch anything for the next few weeks. I regret not watching it sooner, but I'm glad I got to catch up before the movie.
Go listen to every band they referenced. Then work on the obscure pop culture references to film and other cartoons.
>Go listen to every band they referenced.
I'm going to assume OP is under 40 and suggest he not do that.
Wait for the movie to come out sometime soon™
Watch it again and see all the small details and references you missed.
Dean's girlfriend is really cute.
>Dean's girlfriend
Now why you gotta add salt to the wound?
Shame they made Dean evil like that.
I loved her accent.
Do what says. There's no way you caught everything the first time through. The series is littered with small details and subtle foreshadowing that are easy to miss unless you read a wiki trivia page beforehand.
then watch it again with commentary
then buy the book and watch it again while reading the book
>Watch it again and see all the small details and references you missed.
yeah I did this like twice kek
Play some Poker Night 2 for some bonus Brock content
>He doesn’t know
Good luck with that OP
I myself bought the first game about a year before it went off the market. I picked up a Poker Night 2 key on Amazon for less then eight dollars.
Easy to torrent
ah, but torrenting doesn't get you your sweet achievement hats
I mean, I had it before Telltale went bankrupt so I can play it whenever I want. Though I'm sure you can find it on the high seas if you're really craving some Brock.
You can get old copies through GOG
>show where every character is just some parody
how did people watch this?
Like all long run parodies with a plot, the show eventually finds a sense of humanity and seriousness.
heavy is the burden of knowing
wait for news of the movie, hope it didn't get the axe as a result of the discovery merger
Read some webcomics, dumpsterdive if you wanna
Patrick Warburton is one of the best voice actors ever
What you should do now is watch all episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force
don't friggin' do this, freakin' food monsters are dicks to their neighbor
go watch johnny quest
Jonny Quest had 3 series (4 if you count the 2 seasons of Real Adventures as separate productions) and each one was good. That's very rare for an IP.
And after that watch the documentary https://youtu.be/kGuSAiNfJG8
>johnny quest
Wait for the movie

I have been fricking looking for the digital version for a friend on and off for weeks. Please tell me you got a reliable source.
Getcomics

Thanks man. I was lucky enough to get the hardcover within a month of release. Now it is going for 200+... crazy times.
>bought it for under 30 last october when it was on sale
glad I got it when I did
Is there a cartoon that comes close to having this level of care and specificity that was infused into The Venture Bros.? The art book is truly something special, and it gives you even greater appreciation for the series and its creators (if that's even possible).
Avatar The Last Airbender (definitely not Korra) is the closest I can think of
Some people think Gravity's Rainbow is a cartoon...
>gonna have to be the digital version
>look up
>physical is going for $250+ on ebay
venturebros... we're rich...
>Part Cherokee
Didn't hunter say he was part Winnebago in a later season?
Early pitch notes
Quarter Winnebago wasn't it?
post moar
All that was made for the original Action Hair comic
How did Venture Bros never get its own comic ala Rick and Morty? They can even excuse continuity by saying it's a different Dean and Hank the same way the R&M comic is in a different dimension. I just want more content so bad ;_;
hammer and publick move slow enough on the show as it is without dicking around with comics
The creators like to have full control over the story and characters and probably wouldn't let anyone else write comics for them. >UNKNOWN TO BROCK, "ARMY JOE" IS SECRETLY HIS OLDER BROTHER JOE, WHO RAN AWAY FROM HOME YEARS AGO!
We really dodged a bullet on that one, huh?
here i was thinking we dodged the bullet with the pants golem of 7th ave
I mean, Lazzo did give Sam Hyde a show. I won't lie, I still get a laugh at the israelites rock video. Mostly when the camera pans to the [adult swim] producers completely unamused.
oh don't get me wrong i don't think it's antisemetic or would really care if it was i just think it sounds and looks moronic
>pants golem of 7th avenue
>given life by a mystical israeli tailor
OY VEY
Wait for the movie with the rest of us.
Wait for more news or a trailer for the movie I guess. I bought the Go Team Venture book a while back and that was great but it only goes up to season 6 since it came out before 7 started airing. GO ENJOY LIFE YOU homosexual!!!
LIFE IS THE GREATEST ADVENTURE WAITING FOR YOU.
At least I think that's the gay message of this very gay cartoon.
Why'd this show get canned anyway? Weren't they greenlit for a season 8 right after the end of 7?
warner is hemorrhaging money and has changed hands twice in the last five years
Mike Lazzo was a huge supporter of the show (He even got a cameo in the episode Every which way but zeus) and put up with the long development cycles because he enjoyed the series so much.
When he retired and a new set of executives took over, guess which show was first on the chopping block?
Tragic I was hoping for one last ride on the TShirt Club. Was ready to go in on the full set this round.
Too expensive to produce for a company facing endless budget cuts.
>Why'd this show get canned anyway?
because [as] is best at having the worst fricking ideas within the last 14ish years
literally the most overrated [as] show in history. only got good ratings because people left the tv on after family guy ended.

Like how that's Rusty's half-sister.
As much as I love the show its hard to stay invested in a story that only comes back every 3 years.
and should've ended 7 years ago
I really want to watch this show but I'll probably binge it and frick up my sleep schedule
We didn't get any news at this years Comic Con for the movie? I swear I saw an artist who worked on the show say they wrapped up working on it not too long ago.
I think Patrick Warburton said he finished his dialogue a little while ago or something
Yea, just near the end of last month he mentioned it in an interview. So that probably means we won't see anything until Summer/Fall 2023 at the earliest
well what were you doing before you watched the venture brothers
wait for the movie
Warch Sharky’s Machine.
Orville gets over an hour episode now that it had a dedicated streaming schedule.
Imagine how long Doc and Jackson could write and episode for if they had a streaming deal.
Whole season of Movie length Episodes.
I'd be totally happy with that final season.
I imagine they're probably gonna leave some loose threads so they can possibly return after the movie, but at the same time, I can imagine they probably want to take a break, given they've been working on the series for twenty years
There isn't a single show on Adult Swim right now that even comes close to The Venture Bros.
This show had a couple of Wild Wasteland Perk events in the Fallout New Vegas Old World Blues add on. Hank will, Hank will be happy doing anything.
Dean is someone you have to worry about hopefully he didn't impregnate Sirena.
Jonas Venture was more of an ass than a failure. JJ was pretty successful.
Suffer. All you can do until the movie comes out.
I would give my right nut for a VB/Metalocalypse crossover. Just imagine the VB soundtrack and style meshing with Brendon's shit.
I don't wanna derail the thread but something's bugging me.
