Every single review or commentary on youtube is uploading and profiting off of someone else, so what's your point? You do realize they aren't uploading the entire movie to youtube or patreon right? They're uploading the reaction. I don't pay for this shit, but what they do is countdown at the start of the reactions they upload, then the paypiggies can start their copy of the movie at the same time. Both sides have to own the movie in some way or other. It's basically free advertising for whatever movie/tv streaming sites they use, or recommend, because the paypiggies will probably want the same copy. Of course they could also pirate it but that's a completely different discussion.
You don't own code and pixels on a screen, anon. Anyone can "steal" it if they want, whenever they want, and how you feel doesn't matter.

There's a shitload of movies out there, most people have not seen the vast majority of them, even if you only count the popular ones.
Filmmakers I would expect to have more interest in watching films, but actors don't necessarily have anything to do with film. Most young actors probably get interested through theater in school.
I think those of us that grew up in the 80s and 90s also watched a lot more movies, because there was far less competition from other forms of media.
