They brought star wars full circle into being the pulpy scifi serials that the franchise was inspired by
For that, they are kino
>They brought star wars full circle into being the pulpy scifi serials that the franchise was inspired by
The TV shows did that, since they actually follow a format similar to old theatrical serials.
I have an excuse to post this
so which is supposed to be the best? top or bottom rows
imagine being moronic enough to read a book about captain phasma
your opinion is obviously worhtless
I don't know why I find this interesting
Only one I ever read. Released one month before the movie came out and consequently insanely popular. I assume the most popular film novelization of all time. As I vaguely recall it just had one extra sequence. About the sand people.
All of the Prequel novels are good and are better than the movies.
>Alphabet Squadron
>Twilight Company
>Inferno Squad
Alphabet Squadron might honestly be the best star rays novels I've ever read
Bro you can't even write
That's because I had all of my fingers chopped off as a child, and now have to type with my nose
Bet you feel like an butthole, huh?
Do you have prehensile nosehairs like Vuufi Raa's fingers?
They put my brain into one of the Jabba Palace spider robots
They fricked up bad by just tossing that all out and doing their own garbage. Could've just lazily adapted them for the next 50 years without ever having to think for themselves
Nah it was completely necessary and a net positive for the franchise for sure.
You can say that the books are worse now if you want to, but it was worth restarting considering the scope of what they have planned for live action content.
I'm not a starwars fan BUT, if they'd adapt the Galaxy of Fear books into movies or an animated series, that's something i'd wanna see.
The forbidden novel that made Disney seethe and delist from Amazon because it mogged all their nucanon in sales.
Isn't this literally fan fiction or something? Like unofficially published?
>Guy gets asked to write a sw book
>He does
>"Actually wait nevermind we don't want it"
>Publishes it on Amazon decades later without telling lucasfilm
>Amazon takes it down
It was going to be an official Star Wars novel, but the release was cancelled. The manuscript has since then been posted online.
It was going to be an official novel but the release got cancelled in favor of Truce at Bakura. The manuscript was eventually released and people even did fan printings of it.
What was the purpose behind Luke's "all night tickle" to become a Jedi in the EU?
Nice one, luke
>nu wars included
Opinion discarded
The EU era (1990s - 2013) actually had a strong and engaged fanbase. All I see now is apathy.
Move on
I've been reading old Dark Horse star wars comics and I love them, I've spent a stupid amount on physical copies of the ones I really like but most I read on pdf. We should start /swg/ again and just accept thr schizos as the price we pay for bumps
Reminder all nu wars is homosexual shit
You aren't the real homosexual shit anon
I might tomorrow. We will see.
Would be better to start it up when there is an airing show to actually talk about
I've read all the obvi ones Thrawn/Bane Series, plagueis, i jedi, and pieces of NJO. What else are the big ones I'm missing that are worth reading? Preferably more adult, thx chaps

Blech. Anyway, I'm reading through all the Clone Wars novels right now and I'm on pic related. It's pretty fricking great. It's basically MASH in the SW universe.
all the novels before vector prime, minus darkstar, are great
everything after is trash, including all Yuuzhan Vong stories
Tales from Jabba's Palace was my childhood

I need that, thank you
Darth Bane was pretty decent, Rule of Two was eh though it did introduce the interesting concept of
>the sith can never actually win because every sith lord is being betrayed by their apprentice who becomes the next sith lord
Redpill me on High Republic
Don't read it, it's full of libtard language and I deleted my PDF of it probably half an hour in. Disney Nu-wars that is unreadable.
