I prefer the 105 Dagger. Can fully use all Striker Packs, including shoulder armaments.
I don't get why the Windams omitted the shoulder pack compatibility when otherwise it's basically the distilled form of a mass-produced Strike in lore.
>I don't get why the Windams omitted the shoulder pack compatibility
Only the Sword Striker truly used it and it's the worst out of the packs. Launcher should've just been the cannon.
The Launcher Striker at least had a gatling and a two-shot missile launcher (with some kind of magical reload; given the few times it's used it fires off about 4 or 6 missiles).
A really dinky gatling. It only managed to kill helis and the head vulcans do that just fine. The missile launcher is also more like an afterthought. Would've been better if it had the Ginn ankle launchers instead.
>I don't get why the Windams omitted the shoulder pack compatibility
The doppelhorn acts as the artillery stand-in for the launcher while the jet striker is Aile, but with armanents. Sword is meme.
The Windoms did actually have phase shift, the pilots were just trained to turn it down to the lower settings to conserve battery power for their weapons instead.
Which was just a retcon because of animation errors, and either way they turn it down so low it's effectively worthless because Windam's get shredded by even vulcan fire on the grunt setting.
>It looks more futuristic than the ZAFT and Orb MS wienerpits.
Really? I don't think we ever got any kind of view inside considering no named character ever pilots one in the shows.
[...]
And here's the Strike Dagger wienerpit lineart from the Seed MS Encyclopedia.
These are what I was looking for. Yeah, it does because the ORB and ZAFT ones had pipes and panelings jutting out while the EA suits are cleaner looking.

yeah it ain't bad. Does just enough to be pretty distinct from GM without pretending it's anything but a basic grunt. Like yellow beam, smaller visor and having a bit more color all over.
Add Strike's characteristic frame on the shoulders to connect it better and it's a nice enough design.
Felt like a disservice that this "stopgap" Strike Dagger never had the one main design feature of the Strike and that the "105" Dagger is the true MP successor to the Strike.
I quite liked the Dagger L myself, although it seems to lack the shoulder hardpoints.
at the same time, it felt rather realistic the ideal option (dagger with striker pack compatibility) wasn't economically viable and for the first mass produced machine they had to do with the stripped down barebone version that only had basic functionality rather than access to the adaptability of striker packs
It sucks they needed to but they were in a situation where they had to shit out as many as possible Many WWII SMGs had that same issue where demand was so high that we ended up with man ramshackle, if still effective, weapons that look borderline homemade.
Yeah, the grease gun and the sten were pretty good examples of that. Simple, ugly, not entirely as reliable or effective as they should be, but they were easy and cheap to make so they could be pumped out in big numbers.
>And the jamming just makes it more exciting to use
Good point. If your Sten jams, you target is more likely to survive so you can rape him. Just don't throw a grenade after. Corpses cannot refuse consent.
Best you can hope for is Mwu "downgrades" to one and clean sweeps grunts with it.
Kira is forced to use one to escape after infiltrating an Alliance base. He makes an offhand remark about how it resembles the Strike vaguely. He barrels his way through enemies. He never gets hit directly, but gets grazed a bunch of times by explosions and beams. The combination of that and pushing the Windam to its limits causes it to fall apart just as he reaches the safety of allies, landing stylishly by cratering the ground with a three point landing, partly because it's cool and also because the Windam finally shatters. Kira somersaults out of the open wienerpit avoiding the jagged edges and debris from the Windam crumbling around him.
He says as he dusts himself off "Too bad it didn't have phase shift, otherwise I could have kept it as a souvenir.."
That's not really marvel humor, it's something I could also see Kira saying.
In Destiny he has a bit of a sense of humor, or rather he's just slightly autistic.
I remember when he kidnapped Cagalli he made a comment about her dress.
I can kinda imagine Kira saying the line "Too bad it didn't have phase shift, otherwise I could have kept it as a souvenir.." because in SEED he was characterized as a bit of a tech nerd.
Though I don't think he seems too fond of collecting mobile suits.
Now that I think about it Lowe would definitely say that line.

Not really no. Kira only showed attachment to the original Freedom for sentimental reasons (It was when he first truely connected with Lacus and Lacus basically sacrificed her entire Plant future and eventually her farther to give it to him) so he was a little bummed when it was destroyed.
>It's at least more powerful than the vanilla GINN.
It carries beam weaponry, so it definitely has more offensive power and seeing how that shit runs on the dagger's energy supply instead of being some external battery monstrosity like the optional beam cannon of the Ginn, it probably has a better battery, too.
Excuse me for my autism, but I just can't stop thinking about it.
Are the Aile Strike and his mass-produced brothers incapable of backward motion in the atmosphere?
One of the main tenets of MS design, which make them viable, is all-directional freedom of motion, which allows them to micro-dodge AA-fire.
They simply don't have enough forward-facing thrusters to give them the necessary propulsion. They can't even use the main back thruster to keep the altitude and their sole thrusters for backward acceleration, as back wings will make Windam incredibly aeronautically unstable.
So, a common person, a typical pilot of the EA, can only fly forward, keep his shield high, shoot his beams and pray. If a target engages them at a close distance, all they can do is awkwardly break formation to intercept, and then clumsily dogfight like humanoid planes.
It also means that a typical descendant of Strike can escape the Justice. If they turn, they will lose their main protection against beam rifles. If they clash swords (which is impossible according to some), then Justice can use many of its additional sabres for a finishing strike from four different directions, you simply can't parry them all.
Does it mean that Athrun living his life on easy mode? That Windams just can't protect themself from melee-heavy suit?
Are you British?
No, why?
Tough crowd I see.
Because they love stabbing each other
Filipino
Flips are terminal Freedom gays.
nah, it's all Barbatuesday and Wing Wednesday
I thought they're willing to risk their lives in a flood for 00
>mid robot design #98409860498564956

Shit taste
I would say go back to your Gendumbs, but you likely hate those too.

Windams only need legalize nuclear bombs

sword works well if you have phase shift (which grunts dont have). shinn used anti ship swords way better than kira ever did

I too fricking love the Strike Dagger, OP
Wonder if they'll bring this boi back in CG for the movie just like they did the GINN.
They are, they showed off a reworked design and some WIP shots for an action scene a few months back
Actually that’s the Dagger, my bad.
Still better than not having it at all
I wonder if the flashback rumors are true then
seems the most reasonable option
either that or some old machines being used by people without access to the more advanced grunts from Destiny
The Windom was always the best SEED Alliance grunt suit.
Too bad it never got a Win.
Damn.
How many copies of the HG did you get then
How many did Azrael brought with him to Orb?
I have three, albeit two are still unbuilt.
Dual daggar is best.
Also psa daggar is ok.
I FRICKING LOVE OP BOYUSSY
Does anyone have a full view of the Dagger wienerpit? It looks more futuristic than the ZAFT and Orb MS wienerpits.

In the SEED desting astray manga it could use those shoulder attachments.

>ugly
I'm sorry fella, but you got filtered
And the jamming just makes it more exciting to use
NTA it's no chauchat, but if I down someone with a Kar or Gewehr, I'm dropping the Sten shit asap.
Anon, its a tube with a trigger.
I prefer the term 'minimalist design'
>And the jamming just makes it more exciting to use
Good point. If your Sten jams, you target is more likely to survive so you can rape him. Just don't throw a grenade after. Corpses cannot refuse consent.
Will it appear in the movie?
Will it finally get a kill?

Last thing Gundam needs is Marvel "humor."
That's not really marvel humor, it's something I could also see Kira saying.
In Destiny he has a bit of a sense of humor, or rather he's just slightly autistic.
I remember when he kidnapped Cagalli he made a comment about her dress.
Yes, but he didn't say it for his own amusement. He was actually bewildered that Cagalli can look feminine (again).

All of this sounds like Mwu things.
Was this thing on par with the M1 Astray when it comes to performance? It's at least more powerful than the vanilla GINN.

>naturals made a better mass produced MS
coordinatorbros how do we respond
Easy. We made the GuAIZ.
Wasn't there a dagger that can turn itself into a Bucue?
It was meant to be purely quadripedal but was redesigned to be transformable after the Gaia was captured
Excuse me for my autism, but I just can't stop thinking about it.

>called the Strike DAGGER
>doesn't have Armor Schneiders
????
Best grunt was the Hyperion G.
t.Yuropoor
>Beam shields
>Backpack mounted beam rifle
>Beam machinegun that doesn't rely on the MS battery for power
It's good.
>only 12 were made.
Apparently not good enough tbh.
Iirc Eurasian federation basically collapsed before they could fully roll it out.
I prefer the Duel Dagger.
