The movie takes place over two days. Day 1 is when Cage is on the helicopter and arrives at he base. Day 2 is when he deploys on the beach. Since the alpha only resets the day it's killed on, Cage kept resetting Day 2. But when he dies after killing the Omega, it's still Day 1 so that's the day which is reset.
sn't just another case of a creator/director getting too big, where they may have had good ideas, but had to take input and editing from others, which created something great, but now that they are big they are just surrounded by yes men, and no one to reign them in?
I read the book, and after reading it it is hard to take this movie seriously.
In the book, the MC is an idiot who only joined the army because he was literally suicidal after a girl he liked fell for someone else. Imagine Tom Cruise playing THIS kind of character.
The book is one note. It never really explored much with it's cool concept; it's all ony big training montage. The movie really plays around with what it'd be like to be trapped in a loop for what was probably over a decade.
I mean, that's another way of looking at it. The book was inspired by save-scumming in RPGs, which both the aliens and the protags did. It was probably also inspired by grinding. With every save scum and death, the protags learnt to fight better.
>Will the sequel ever be made?
Probably not. Cruise and Blunt are too busy and too expensive for a sequel to get made, especially for a film that didn't really make much of a profit. I don't even think they have a draft script.
>spend half to a full year as an immortal >finally break the curse and become normal again
how long would he survive before dying in some stupid accident he thought he might not take seriously?
Even though it's one of those stories that uses the time travel loop trope, the character development, or rather, the character relationship development made me rewatch some of the scenes again and again from time to time. For example that part when he is recruiting the team for the final mission. Good acting, believable scenarios.
damn this used to be my favorite movie when i was a young buck. need to rewatch it
Young? This came out like last year.
>last year
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
NEED TO KNOW NOW
KNOW NOW
CAN YOU LOVE ME AGAIN?
Pure kino
Kino ending
ON YOUR FEET, MAGGOT
one of the only movies i ever rewatched. along with tremors
Images you can hear
No. I'm from Kentucky.
Explain the end to me like I’m the idiot I am. He kills the main alien dude, the war ends, but how does he still go back in time even further?
they changed it from the manga and novel so it could just be all bullshit but somehow killing it ended the timeloop they created
Because the blue mimic resets to the day before. The omega mimic resets it two 2 days before.
But then how is the war over if he went back 2 days before killing it?
He resets, the aliens dont

Shane about blunt taking the call.
her ass is still nice
pics
>catched
>I fricking love this movie
glad you liked my work.
The movie that made me fall in love with Emily Blunt. This was before she bogged herself.
She somehow managed to completely flatten her ass though.
>she bogged herself
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT EMILY TOO
Yes, I will have sex with all of them
that sunken in face look only works for men my god women should not look like a skelly
do you think tom ever raped her at the helicopter spot, since it doesn't really count and maybe it might have helped them win. gotta try all options.
Monster design was very generic, other than that, 10/10 kino.
Oblivion is better
No way. I sat through it, but All You Need is Kill is actually engaging, entertaining, and rewarding by the end. Oblivion felt like "oh ok"

i’ve fallen asleep every time
the music is reddit incarnate
Boring as hell
I read the book, and after reading it it is hard to take this movie seriously.

At least the book had the better ending though.

It's really mediocre. Not worth a rewatch.
Usual goyslop, all the things that made manga good were removed. A happy ending was shoehorned among other things
too cynical response
it’s much better than most goyslop
Will the sequel ever be made? IIRC, an alien was the one to get the time travel gimmick or some shit.
>Will the sequel ever be made?

Frick my life...
It's better this way. We can imagine a perfect sequel and not be constrained by the reality of movie production
I don't think a movie like this really needs a sequel, it "completes its own loop"
If anyone really likes Time Loop tropes and is looking for a fun game to play, check out The Outer Wilds
nice reccomendation, i just watch sir
Im not sure. The quality declines as soon as they reach the house park trailer home.
Also the looks gets shit as it is then clearly in Eruppoor

It was one of the few movies with a hardass female lead that was believable before the 100 pound 5'3 stronk womxn bullshit hapened.
I thought the grande pin scene was cool then I watched War of the Worlds and he does the same thing.
