It's absolutely baffling how writers feel so insecure about miles to this day that they need to add stupid shit like this to his arsenal as if they had to compensate for something, I don't even hate the character and even I find that fricking pathetic.

The issue is trying to make Miles into a shonen battle character is it misses the whole soap opera aspect of Spider-Man. The reason Spider-Man works is you have mundane reality with problems anybody understands and Peter Parker being an average joe who struggles with them then you have the superhero stuff which is fantastical and awesome where he swings around as Spider-Man. This run neglects the human side of Spider-Man in order to accentuate the fantastical side.
When I see this image I see somebody trying to make Spider-Man and update him for a modern generation but forgetting the why. Ben, Mayday, and Miguel still remember that superheros are human, this though is leaning into some yearning to be a manga lmao where Miles only battles people.
Miles isn't human and thus has no relatable human stories to tell. He's just the concept of a token black personified, remember all that shit like "what if miles was Thor" and Asgard became the Black personest ghetto that ever nigged?
Even still there's plenty you can do with the character. Like the concept of a Black Spider-Man opens up plenty of shit. Like have him battle Tombstone to keep drugs out of his neighborhood and beat the pushers. Do something like Run, Riddler, Run where Roxxon or another corpo entity starts buying up neighborhoods to gentrify them. Get fricking Priest to write him so somebody with a drop of melanin can write the fricker the two black chicks and Reynolds, try talking about the difference between hood and ghetto motherfrickers vs a middle class black guy or even how some people try to act when you get wealthy when you've been poor all your life. Like write Spider-Man but try tackling issues in a unique way, even if Miles might not be mature enough throw Hobie into that ring. There's plenty of ways to make a black Spider-Man feel different from Peter.

Ahmed's run was far better than this trash and he didn't need a gimmick powerup to appeal to powerlevel freaks because he just wrote an engaging story
The powers aren't the problem, the problem is how Miles is a parasite attached to Peter. Peter needs to be brought low so Miles can thrive, the extra powers just make it apparent that it is happening.
The powers aren't the problem but they are a symptom. Let's not pretend that the powers would be fine in another context because these powers only come about in the contest of the shit we are in now.

I actually dont mind Peter having web constructs. Playing as him in Shattered Dimensions felt natural and him creating hammers and fists out of webs was badass
