Whenever I hear someone consuming a video like this in real life (I didn't even click the link, I already know what type of video it is based on the post and its replies) I get strong second hand embarrassment. You are actively contributing to the dumbing-down of the human race purely for the sake of what, views? Attention? Some false hope that one day you'll be on of the few that can earn a livable wage off the fake job of a "content creator"? Content is the new opiate of the masses. Before it was TV, and there was a modicum of culture remaining in the west, or at least some simulacra of one. But now that its the internet, its all dead and gone. For a while there was some organic internet popular culture, but over time its degraded into smaller and smaller niche communities with little or no overlapping culture. There's not even a cross-board culture on this website anymore. No in-memes or jokes that aren't so specific to their board that they never have a chance of making it into the culture at large. The entire world has been compartmentalized and its all because people like you feel the need to make "Content" to keep everyone from being normal and thinking for themselves.

When I was a kid, I used to think family guy was shit. I hated myself for watching it, and I really hated myself for liking it.
Back then, I still wanted to believe people weren't shit. Since then I've given up on people. Their hopeless.
People don't like family guy because its depressing. It reminds them of their own lives and their own failures. We gradually turned into all the charactures we used to make fun of when we were younger.
With family guy, back then, we already knew we were scraping the bottom of the barrel, there was hardly anything left of our culture.
It was just a bunch of shitty, racist and offensive jokes written for shock value and I didn't even think it was going to last a whole season. It became the epitome of 'nothing else is on'.
Family Guy didn't win late night television because it was good, it won because everyone else was terrible. It was good for a cheap laugh and couple of guffaws, sometimes it'd come at you sideways and get a good laugh out of you.
And that was really all it took.
Todays entertainment media is like a pachinko machine. You lose 9 times out of 10, but occasionally you get a 5 minute hit of something good and it triggers that dopamine rush. Its the equivalent of digging through garbage hoping to find something valuable.
It used to be that we would trust networks to curate good content for you, now they just have you sift through the wreckage yourself.
