I HATE STREET LEVEL

You know what, I will say it. I HATE street level trash. You've got a medium where your imagination is the only limit, and you waste it on homosexuals patrolling THE STREETS, doing nothing but BEATING UP CREEPS. The same grey buildings, the same grey blocks, on and on the same blandness as the real world. Pretending that they're "realistic" when the human body could never deal with a fraction of the pressure. The same exact stories repeated again and again, with the hero going against
>crime boss with gimmick
>crook with gimmick
>serial killer with gimmick
again and again and again. Meanwhile other genres, far more imaginative ones, die all the time, because homosexuals here don't want to read about anything exciting, no, they just a slice of life title with some shitty battles in between.

Sometimes I think street level is the biggest example of writers trojan horsing a genre they actually want to write about through capeshit

      Definitely
And that makes it good (potentially at least)

For someone that harps on about imagination, you're not very creative.

I think the whole genre is pretty much like that. Can you think of a good superhero comic that isn't heavily crime fiction, or fantasy, or science fiction, or anything else?

Nah, give me quasi-mundane and recognizable any day of the week. It's hard to care for cosmic homies having grandiose adventures in space, with aliens that look like humans with extra bits

I don't hate street level heroes, but crime bosses and mafia type groups instantly put me to sleep.
I consider King Pin to be a symbol of boredom and disengagement.

I like crime bosses when they're absurdly powerful.
International/global reach, absurdly wealthy, actually a threat in a physical fight, henchmen with high tech weaponry.
If you're gonna have a villain like that, just go to full on extreme with it. Generic "I run this city" crime lords of yore are boring.

Since coomers decided to drop by:
I hate female heroes. They're simply not interesting, they have no good stories, no good villains. In fact the idea of a "good villain" is an alien concept for these kind of characters. Just make your villain a pathetic misogynist/rapist/incel so they could easily dunk on him and make him look like a joke and call it a day.
And yes, fight scenes are always better when male characters are involved. Since capeshit is an action genre, this is very important.

The ladies bring all the pervs to the yard and they're like "gonna sniff you hard." Alright, sniffed by a blackguard. I could kill you, but that choice has been barred.

You hate street level? Imagine feeling this entitled to talk down to people that have no other choice but to live on the streets. What a b***h.
