I have an irrational desire to find someone who watches those Movie Plot Summary videos and make them suffer for their aesthetic crimes. Double punishment if they watch them at higher than 1x speed.
The video is legit good. You guys are the contrarian dick suckers.
Let me guess, it pretends that the movie is anything other than a drama with comedic undertones and then try to reframe the initial reception of the movie as it being "misunderstood".
This is pure midwit-core garbage made by people who couldn't analyse the shape of an orange let alone competently deconstruct anything above marvel-level writing.

I do that. When I start shitposting arguments about some movies and realize I don't remember the plot 100%, I turn it on in the background at 2x speed to catch up. You will never find me, bozo.
I like CinemaTyler, he doesn't really talk about film plots, as much as aggregate a bunch of documentary and interview content to talk about the production of films and how it influenced their content.
That is interesting to me.
EveryFrameAPainting is a classic along similar lines. Not summaries, but more about how films are made from a production and editing standpoint.
I like Rob Ager for turbo autismo analysis and Oliver Harper is great background noise content if you have nothing else better. He’s inoffensive and unpretentious and gives history about the making of and the impact of the film as much as he gives a synopsis. He also does real quality trailer Re-edits.
Theyre almost always like 23, when you get older you realize they're all just dumb frickin dropouts with no talent looking for a job, a little more verbose than most kids that age but otherwise no more intelligent or observant. That critical drinker guy couldn't even figure out Midsummar wasnt a feminist power fantasy. They're just average iq dudes with too much time on their hands.
I believe these video essayists and critics are all the same shit just recaps of movies. I really feel that 80% of their audience from Doug Walker to YMS and RLM just want abridged versions of movies. And 20% just want friend simulators.
Make them about whatever the current nostalgiabait trend is, that'll be a guaranteed million views so long as you at least half ass it.
Sorry about your missed quads by the way, better luck next time!
I was watching Scrooged around Christmas and was in a mood to talk about it, so I read the wikipedia page for it and then found a YouTuber that made a retrospective vid on it
about halfway through I realized the homosexual was just paraphrasing the wikipedia page and adding nothing else
frick Oliver Harper, he's the one that made me realize all film YouTubers are lazy shits
im not watching that shit. But what would a follow up to the truman show look like? its far too late now but watching truman find out about himself in a world where he has no true experience, and everyone is aware of his whole life story, could have been very interesting. Where could it have gone?
>Where could it have gone?
Truman asking to go back in the dome with the wife he found in the real world. Ends with a camera being shoved in their baby's face as it is born.
>disguised
huh? It's pretty fricking obvious. What are you getting out of the movie if you need a youtube video to inform you of that aspect of the film?
these videos are pretty useless not only on movies but tv series or games or really anything >video spoils everything and just recaps what happens with NO SPOILER WARNINGS so most peoplet hat watch this will probably not end up watching/playing the original >if you did watch the movie already, why even watch the video? unless you have a single braincell you dont need someone else explaining it for you
Ive had more interesting and actually constructive information being posted on IMDB or gamefaqs
these videos are just easy viewz
>>if you did watch the movie already, why even watch the video? unless you have a single braincell you dont need someone else explaining it for you
"Infinity War Ending Explained" has 18 million views
theyre very lazy and provide no insight, they are just recap channels with "deep" titles
>absolutely checked
...also yeah...
it's the untalented that have to do that stuff, since it only hinges on presentation and like Mooler...long boring droning rants.
The video is legit good. You guys are the contrarian dick suckers.
>The video is legit good.
The Truman show is.... sad???
Yes.
Anyone with half a brain who watches the movie will realize that.
Hi, MakeBetterMedia

Let me guess, it pretends that the movie is anything other than a drama with comedic undertones and then try to reframe the initial reception of the movie as it being "misunderstood".

It's okay, I forgive you, I'm just a little grumpy.

Give a millennial a cheap microphone and editing software and they'll unironically believe they're documentary makers and biographers.
Now watch them seethe and say, "n-no! it's le zoom zooms!"
n-no! it's le zoom zooms!
Good to play on the background while playing a game, but they pretty much 30 mins or more of yappin
>Why the Truman Show director is the real trapped in fake world man all along EXPLAINED (Could it be true?!)
You're jelly because what they do is still better than posting here

Then don't watch them.
>"quick retrospective"
>it's le funny because the video is very long and not quick at all

>cleverly disguised
the themes of the film are made painfully obvious lmao
How was the tragedy disguised?
I want to make video game videos but don't know what games to make them about

Does he just spend 20 minutes going on about how "Truman doesn't know the real world at all and everyone knows his life in incredible detail!"
these videos are pretty useless not only on movies but tv series or games or really anything

The Truman show is just a ripoff of Time Out of Joint by Philip K Dick so why would I care to watch this?
I guarantee it has a better soundtrack than Time Out of Joint
I listen to these sometimes while I work. That dude who does a 20+ hour review of skyrim kept me fairly entertained for a few days
