It's one of those "either you love them or hate them" kind of things. Just like trailer park boys, really like both of them

It's absurdist comedy, what more is there to get. While Xavier is surrealist with it's absurdism Aqua Teen is grounded in low social/monetary status relatability contrasted with it's pulpy adventure parody.
They're urban trash who manage to drag down fantastical adventures into their low class orbit; if you're not a humorless frick you can find it funny from one of many different angles.

Everything explodes because they've cloned it all too many times and its now unstable.
It explodes because it's a literal form of the scene being done with a prop and tossing it out of the story.

It's humor in the vein of other Adult Swim low budget shlock, with half the humor being the voice work and jokes doing the legwork for the jpeg tier animation and the other just being the absurd juxtapositions of the situation. It's like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Brak Show, Sea Lab 2021 etc.
Like, if you want to strip it of all context and state the intended humor, you could say it's "Morons of various intellect levels try to accomplish their overambitious goals in the most half-assed manner possible, and the consequences of their actions bite them in the ass far harder in compensation". Like one dumbass trying to somehow half-ass becoming a famous superhero, only to end up mutated from dipping themselves in toxic waste and wanted by the cops for burning down the city. Or two aliens trying to incompetently kidnap on of the main characters to take over the planet, only to find themselves tortured by his insufferable behavior and their bungling attempts to inspire terror when they are anything but. It's one of those things where you either find something in it funny, or you don't, and thankfully it's a show that people won't condemn you for not finding funny.

Truly some of the best shit to ever come out of Adult Swim. Much better than Wubbadubba bs Rick and Morty or Modern Family Guy or Vivzieshit.
