I have become a DC fan since the beginning of this year. I haven’t been reading comics very long, but I had always been more into Marvel. But there’s not much they’re doing right now that I’m super into, and I’m glad that DC has started so many series this year, and most of the ones I’ve tried I’ve really liked. They seem to have a more coherent vision for their universe right now.
I wasn’t reading back when Jon was a kid, but I definitely understand why so many people can’t get past that. But there’s a lot else they’re doing now that I’m really enjoying.
Glad to know you’ve found stuff to enjoy. I’m a lifelong DCgay, but haven’t followed since death metal. If the new books are as good as you say, I’ll be sure to check it out.

The only Batman book I’m reading is the main one, although when Joshua Williamson starts Batman and Robin next month I’ll be reading that too. But the Superman books are both good. The Doom Patrol miniseries isn’t on there but I’d recommend that one too. It’s very funny.

Why don’t you make another thread talking about how great Knight Terrors is and how we should all buy it?
I do like Knight Terrors. I’m not sure it was worth interrupting most of the line in order to have the tie-ins, but the main book is good and I wish Deadman would get some kind of ongoing out of it. I’m ready for Green Lantern to hit its stride after Knight Terrors is over. I’m interested in Si Spurrier’s Flash that’s coming out. It has the misfortune of following a really amazing run, but hopefully it will be unique and interesting in its own way. I haven’t even tried Shazam but a lot of people seem to like that one too. So yeah I think DC has a lot going for them currently.
