>Are the gadgets returning
Probably. I mean, in the last one he had a lot of gadgets. >and are they fun/campy or superserious
Mix of both is the aim. Think more GoldenEye or Goldfinger than Die Another Day or Casino Royale.
Will the score be dynamic with the frightening and “jumpscare” like motifs in the same sense as John Barry’s? Has Nolan chosen Göransson or Zimmer for this?
Too early. They don't have a start date yet.
Who were the chosen Bond girls for this one ?
Is Aaron Taylor Johnson really the new Bond ?
His team has had talks and that's about it. No screen-tests or contracts put on any tables or anything of that sort.
Is there ANY information you have that is not publicly known?
Sure. I said that they don't have a set start date yet but the optics are that a late 2024 date will be it with a release likely a year or two later in the standard window of Bond movie releases which is November-December. They've got the writers and a script and a director to just stear the ship should be locked in soon. The script is being reworked on but the bulk of it is more or less set. ATJ is not set as the new Bond 100% but he's getting there. I've already said a lot about the project and leaked some names for being looked at and possibly auditioning. They're very confident in their target's acceptance so they're filling out the rest of the cast. I heard that this girl might be in one of those lists. Sydney Chandler is her name. Not a big name by any stretch but there have been some murmurs about her. I already talked about Ewan Mitchell and Emma Appleton.
>no Nolan
why even bother at this point. the only thing that could save this disgraced franchise would be a haul over from someone who understands the source material and the language of film to a tee.
>ATJ is not set as the new Bond 100% but he's getting there.
I thought AJ was officially confirmed, I recall seeing posts here about it a week or two ago with some articles about the old Bonds welcoming him on in the role. Was that all bullshit?
Yes. I suspect it's probably someone who heard right that ATJ is the first choice for the new Bond and that he's being courted by Barbara but anything OTHER than that? Yeah, complete nonsense. >with some articles about the old Bonds welcoming him on in the role
This was especially funny. But no, it's fake.
She's on a queue along with many other actresses. Could be, could not be. It's all very contangeial at this point but I like some of the girls they've picked out. I wouldn't hold my breath on any bombshells though, they're definitely going for more "realistic" Bond girls as they did with Craig. That's unchanged.

>"realistic" Bond girls
Still not embracing that the Bond series is a fantasy spy-fi series.
Will the score be dynamic with the frightening and “jumpscare” like motifs in the same sense as John Barry’s? Has Nolan chosen Göransson or Zimmer for this?
Does Ewan have the role of the villain? Or is he still in competition with others for it and who else is in the running? Also is it true the villain is an incel?
He's among a handful of English/Irish/Scottish actors being looked at for the main villain who is of that ethnicity. I don't see what his sexual status would have to do with anything.
He's more or less Alec Trevelyan without the personal angle and without the tragic motivation. That's just tidbits I've been spoon-fed despite the script now being tweaked but the baseline is that. He's a rogue MI6/SAS guy.
Sounds promising, can you tell us any other actors in the running for him? Are they all unconventionally handsome rather than classically handsome? Please tell me Barry Keoghan isn’t being considered.
Another name is Niv Sultan. Leo Suter is also an interesting name that comes up for either a supporting role or a villain role. He was in Vikings: Valhalla.
Certainly not being considered and even if he was, he'd be too big of a name now. They're an assortment of C-list, B-list young character actors who've been in some fairly "big" productions in some manner of supporting roles. Ewan Mitchell is one of them in that criteria and he certainly stands out. If I were at the bookies, I'd put some money up for him landing it.

Italian-ish. She's Albanian but has done stuff in Italy and is naturalized. Very unlikely she gets the part but she's there. The Bond girl combo is explicitly British with ambiguously European so for the latter, the net is cast pretty wide. I still think Chandler is probably going to get that one, despite being American. She was in Don't Worry, Darling, Pistols and a new Apple TV show that's now airing. She's steadily rising.
Leo Suter certainly looks like an agent and would work well visually with ATJ, but he’s not very villainous looking. They need someone like Sean Bean who can play both a protagonist and an antagonist if they are going down the Alec Trevelyan road. Ewan works for that, he definitely leans more towards looking villainous though.
The villain does have this henchman/partner/right hand type of character so I'm waging that Suter is being looked at for that. The antagonists aren't old farts, they're young and able men who provide a great foil for the young, virile Bond that Aaron will probably bring to the table judging by how he typically plays characters. High-energy, that is.

>They're an assortment of C-list, B-list young character actors
This is a good approach. I'm tired of seeing the same faces in every major movie. The UK has a lot of talented little-known actors and it would be smart to hire some of them to give the films a fresh look, and not a patchwork of meme actors.
As with typical ESG/DEI practices widespread in the film industry and sadly not slowing down at all, they're going for all ethnicities. Leaving no racial minority's stones unturned, so to speak. Sophie Wilde is a name too. As I said, the Bond girls that will most likely be cast in the new film will certainly not be ugly but they won't be Playboy models neither.
They had made out a grid of sorts with actors and of course they'd entertained Idris Elba sometime ago but that was just PR nonsense. Aaron is the only one they've looked at with any serious intent and are certain he's what's needed to shake things up, not stir them. Definitely putting all their eggs in his basket.
Location prospects? Would they do the Monaco thing again or would they look for a new location?
The script has him going to Oceania, East Asia, Maldives and a Central European setting. It doesn't have that much globe-trotting but the locations are always up in the air depending on what they can make work in the real world.
Who will do the opening track? Any unknowns being accepted?
Too early for that.
Chances of the producers allowing sex and violence or will they go PG-13?
When do you think the casting will officially be announced?
By the end of this year, I'm certain. It could be Autumn but Winter 2024 is looking more likely. There's quite some time from that.
Chances of the producers allowing sex and violence or will they go PG-13?
PG-13. There's some killings and innuendo but it's all there for seasoning, so to speak. It's all very typical Bond fair on a general level.
Not much on the M, Moneypenny and Q front but all I know is that an anon here actually guessed it which surprised me. I can't remember which thread it was but he was right. They want to wipe the slate clean but like Fiennes too much, Ben Whishaw and Harris are definitely out the door though. They don't feel that their interpretations of those characters are popular enough to warrant keeping them on and right they are. I don't think anyone liked those two at all. Fiennes is a famous and established actor so replacing him would be unsound. They bit the bullet with Judi Dench in Casino Royale so I expect them to keep Fiennes which is why they aren't looking at any of the typical 'M' actors. He's a man, not a woman. As if that isn't obvious.
Harris was unremarkable quite a miscast, I feel. Just a wrong choice all-around. Same thing with Ben Whishaw. The guy should stick to Paddington movies.
Fiennes is a great actor, but he is wasted as M, he brings nothing to the role except for being an old established well-respected face.
Well, that is what is expected of him and M. I don't see what's wrong with that. M's there to give the mission, look stern and respectable and have some banter with Bond. Gone are the days where M is a big player in the plot which was just to accommodate Judi Dench with a larger role anyway, not out of necessity.
>Gone are the days where M is a big player in the plot
Exactly, so having a big name like Fiennes makes that role over powered. Just get a good crusty old Brit actor that is not well known. For a great actor like Fiennes, his role as M is pretty bland.
Moneypenny is open-ended in terms of ethnicity but they could change her back to being, well, British. Tanya Reynolds is the name that's floating along with Sarah Greene,
They're writing it and, by the looks of it, will probably be the sole writers. They're scaling back on the "auteur" approach and just want to get someone who makes sure the movie is filmed, produced and on time. So, as I stated, Nolan is obviously out of the picture. No more Sam Mendes but more so Roger Spottiswoode types will be the ones tapped to direct Bond. Barbara talks about "reinvention" to hype people up but they're definitely bringing Bond back to basics. It's all PR talk as people will realize once the movie goes into production. I think most people will be pleased by the direction they've taken not because it's new but because it's familiar with some fresh touches here and there.
>Gone are the days where M is a big player in the plot
Exactly, so having a big name like Fiennes makes that role over powered. Just get a good crusty old Brit actor that is not well known. For a great actor like Fiennes, his role as M is pretty bland.
You're not wrong but having him there adds a, let's say, "prestige" to the film and he is a dependable presence even with little screen-time. Fiennes publicly stated he wants to come back and likes the role so wouldn't mind a small role as a mission giver and that's it.
There's so many which is obvious since it's a Bond movie so the net is cast wide and it's all like a stock market of sorts where one name is hot one day and the next radio silence. Fabien Frankel is a name on the male actors side. Looking at him, I think he could fill in for the villain's right hand man which if Mitchell gets that role should reunite these two since they're on the GoT spin-off TV series together.
>Tanya Reynolds
She's too good looking, she could be a proper Bond girl and not Moneypenny
I don't know about that. Most would look at her and see a pretty standard girl that's neither ugly nor a looker which is on par with Moneypenny and how she typically looks (Harris notwithstanding). She's striking and unique but not Bond girl material. I feel, anyway.
It will go through so many delays and reshoots that the final product won't even remotely resemble any leaks. The last one proved that Bond is not immune to the competency crisis.
Are the gadgets returning, and are they fun/campy or superserious
>Are the gadgets returning

Why do you like to stra.gers on the internet?
Just fricking post all your info
Is Bond going back to his misogynistic roots?
I wouldn't hold my breath on that.
Too early. They don't have a start date yet.
His team has had talks and that's about it. No screen-tests or contracts put on any tables or anything of that sort.
So nothing new? What do you know? Is Nolan set?
>Nolan
Not happening.
Sure. It's for the best. These movies need to go back to being what made them popular and not whatever "prestige" filmmaker wants them to be.
>ATJ is not set as the new Bond 100% but he's getting there.

There’s no hope for this movie if they are considering casting American nepo babies. I hope Emma gets it instead.

Is trash written by women for women
There I just saved you 100 replies, you're welcome
Emma Laird is in a Bond girl list. Just contingently. Has been in shows like Major of Kingstown and The Crowded Room in parts. Is English.
b***h lookin like a cracker
Would Lawrence Stroll be involved? Fernando Alonso making a special appearance? Would Jessica Hawkins come back as stunt driver?
Does he bond burger your sister?
Ursula Corbero in the running for female villain or henchmen?
As with typical ESG/DEI practices widespread in the film industry and sadly not slowing down at all, they're going for all ethnicities. Leaving no racial minority's stones unturned, so to speak. Sophie Wilde is a name too. As I said, the Bond girls that will most likely be cast in the new film will certainly not be ugly but they won't be Playboy models neither.
If they made Bond gauy, the series could go die in a drum filled with tires and a fire.
Do you think they will Woody Allen the typecasting and not looksmatch as per standard?
Will women be sexualized.
Most important question. Would everyone be comically be sexualized?
So it ATJ still their first choice for Bond? Who else is on the list?
They had made out a grid of sorts with actors and of course they'd entertained Idris Elba sometime ago but that was just PR nonsense. Aaron is the only one they've looked at with any serious intent and are certain he's what's needed to shake things up, not stir them. Definitely putting all their eggs in his basket.

Australia or New Zealand?
Could go either way but probably Australia.
Location prospects? Would they do the Monaco thing again or would they look for a new location?
Who will do the opening track? Any unknowns being accepted?
Goldfrapp would have been great to do the Bond theme in their prime, they really had the sound. Not sure about now though.
When do you think the casting will officially be announced?
Chances of the producers allowing sex and violence or will they go PG-13?
Freddie Fox is another name. It's probably for the villain. He was in 'The Gentlemen' on Netflix, most recently.
He’s a great actor, was good in The Great. Hope Mitchell gets it though.
I briefly thought this thread was about the upcoming videogame and got kind of excited
is the girl at least hot, I like flatties in particular, I can deal with a Black face as long as the lips aren't too extreme
I like Emma Appleton and Niv Sultan the most of the girls mentioned so far.
Not much on the M, Moneypenny and Q front but all I know is that an anon here actually guessed it which surprised me. I can't remember which thread it was but he was right. What else do you want from M? Reddit quips? Lectures about sexual harrassment?
It's like having Anthony Hopkins or John Hurt in the role, too well known a face for that kind of role
Charles Dance would have made a great M if he was a bit younger. He's got that secret prick energy
Charlotte Hope is another name.
Purvis & Wade status?
Moneypenny is open-ended in terms of ethnicity but they could change her back to being, well, British. Tanya Reynolds is the name that's floating along with Sarah Greene,

She’s pretty in a Mousey way, but not Bond girl material.
how old were you when your mom stopped washing your penis for you?
Post pics and names of all the actors being considered in general anon it’s interesting

How pozzer is it going to be? Examples?
Gratiela Brancusi (!883, Major of Kingstown) is another name for the vaguely European female.
It will go through so many delays and reshoots that the final product won't even remotely resemble any leaks. The last one proved that Bond is not immune to the competency crisis.
