the last dream I had: >walking with my father who is on a BMX style bicycle >he says watch me do a "mandrill" >I know that by mandrill he means a downhill wheelie >he starts doing the wheelie down a hill on the sidewalk >he loses control and veers off the side of the path and falls into some hedges >I walk over and feel an immense sense of dread as I know that he has been impaled on branches/stumps in the hedge
my dreams i'm always just doing one thing and before i know it i'm doing another
like one second i'm out of breath because of grief for some reason the next i'm shooting an alien and the next i'm hiding from cops
Try Mulholland Drive, there's a part of the film that's two-three seemingly random sequences which almost have no relevancy for the rest of the film (the side plot of the assassins fighting and the diner scene)
Perfect Blue felt like watching one of those nightmares where you’re being chased by something and can only move in slow motion even though you’re pushing yourself to run.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind had some pretty good sequences. The scene where the beach house collapses really felt similar to some dreams I've had.
My last dream I was fighting criminals who had some device/machine with some liquid or some shit that could cause the apocalypse and I wanted to destroy it, then I woke up (still in the dream) next to this machine in some small bedroom, and I remember it was dangerous because just touching this device or the liquid could kill me but I slept next to it and part of it was dangling over my head. What did it mean bros???
I have an entire persistent world built up in my dreams now. The locations and areas kind of shift from night to night but there's a strange amount of consistency for a dream space. Whenever I move to a new country more areas start openong up in my dreams, kind of like unlocking levels in a videogame. It's all very intricate and I've never spoken to someone who has something similar.

The Exorcist has a really great dream sequence
Half my dreams are just me wandering around a more extravagant, labyrinthine version of a real or imagined place

It's techincally Cinemaphile as PTA directed it but this Radiohead video does a good job of capturing a dream.
