Looks like a troony flick to me. Like on the surface maybe you'd think it had some kind of coomer appeal becuse Stone apparently gets her c**t out but you just know that its woke as frick and you just know that trannies are watching it all starry eyed imagining they're wearing her outfits and taking wiener all day

interesting. what else do you think they're imagining?

It's not woke at all. The socialism part is satire making fun of how stupid college age women are.

NTA but I don't think it is promoting or making fun of it, it just shows she's gonne through a socialist phase

i'm gonna spoil the whole movie here so be warned

William Dafoe finds the body of a woman who comitted suicide in a a river, the woman was pregnant, Dafoe being a made scientist type character trasnplants the brain of the feetus to the dead body of the woman and then reanimates the frankenstein thing. He names it Bella Baxter and treats her as his daughter.
At the beginning of the movie she acts like a complete moron but rapidly develops. Dafoe tries to marry her to his assistant to keep her inside the house, but Bella wants to see the world and Mark Ruffalo character takes advantage of this to take her to Lisbon. Ruffalo fricks her alot and tries to dominate her, but she is rapidly growing as a person and sneaking out by herself. Ruffalo then takes her to a boat cruise so she couldn't run since it is a boat, but in the boat she meets some philosophers and she quicly develops a taste for reading and philosophy. One of these philosophers takes her to see starving children and she has a meltdown since it is the first time she discovered such suffering exists in the world, the guy says it pointless to worry about it, she says that it is not, now that she knows there's a problem she will try to improve herself and fix it. She gives Ruffalo's money away and they are thrown out of the cruise in Paris. Since she has no money she decides to become a prostitute, there she meets a socialist prostitue and begins attending medicine classes with the money she makes as a hooker. At this point she is way past Ruffalo. She gets a letter from Dafoe saying he is dying and she should come back to london to see him before he passes away. When she gets there she meets the husband of her former personality that committed suicide, he tries to have her clitoris removed since he thinks she killed herslef due to her womanly impulses, they have a shot off, she wins, she saves him but puts a goat's brain inside his body. The end

I was thinking of downloading it cause of Dafoe but the plot of the movie made it seem like a feminist movie so I dropped it. Is it any good? Or is it filled with shitty western woman values?

I think it is pretty neat, people are saying frankenstein but the plot it is much much much like Pinocchio, if Pinocchio had alot of sex

Its art hoe bawd: the movie. Dafoe just plays a meme in it. Don't watch it unless you want lectures on how being a prostitute is good for 2 hours.

Its purely nihilistic and Marxist. It's straight white man bad propaganda that's literally pedophilic, man hating dyke feminist, and impossibly satanic.

I just saw it today. I don't know if I really liked it that much, and I'm not one of those gays on here who will turn beet red and make a boiling kettle noise when theres feminist stuff. That whole angle is fine. I was just enjoying the weird visuals at the start, then I liked it more around the boat and paris when she starts growing as a character. All the prostitute house stuff besides her epic socialist coworker (she feels like she should be in a different movie) was so offbeat and interesting. Lots of odd looking characters floating in and out. The Madame character was great. but then I really didn't like anything after her previous-life husband shows up. It feels kind of tacked on and doesn't really lead to any revelation or growth from bella. Just a really cartoonishly evil guy that can get fricked up comically in the last 10 minutes. I would have much rather seen another step in her character growth stemming from marriage to the simpy guy.
Another thing is that I just still find the set design to be really weird and offputting the whole movie. Like I don't really get why the real world is just HDwallpapers dot com garish skyboxes and big stupid fantasy structures. Presumably this is the real world. I was kind of thinking maybe the whole thing is from bella's perspective somehow, given the black-and-white switch, but I lost that impression as it went on.
Just a few parts that stuck out as uncharacteristically conventional and trite from a director that normally seems supremely comfortable in his fricked up worlds.

Her husband being a soldier is a metaphor for saying that since he cant satisfy himself with sex, he goes for violence and petty nastiness

glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Originally I thought the sets were generated by AI and that was supposed to be the hook, like this was the first movie to do it or something, but apparently these sets were actually built in Europe. Loved the costumes tho, very steampunk-ish.

It's the funniest movie I've seen in a while. The coomer in my appreciated finally getting to see nude Emma Stone, even if it was a little disappointing. It's a movie that will probably trigger kissless virgins. There were also a bunch a normies in the theater that didn't get it and weren't laughing at the jokes.

My screening had about 20 people, there were two homies who are the crustiest old people you've seen in your life, you just know those two fricks watched 50 thousand movies each. They were losing their shit at the jokes and they clapped when it ended
