Seen it. Final season wasn't fantastic, but it didn't ruin the show or anything.
If that counts, Rome. Last season is worse but not outright bad.
Also Carnivale with a similar disclaimer. Both basically just ended up rushed because of cancellation but still ended up above 90% of television.

That’s posted here a lot, but I strongly disagree. They found out the show was cancelled and condensed tons of shit that was going to be spaced out in later seasons into season two which affected the pacing but it’s still phenomenal. Honestly because of this there’s far more plot and less filler in two. My favorite episode of the show is in season two as well (Phillippi). Rome is absolutely worth a watch and both seasons are excellent don’t let morons on here parroting a meme consensus convince you otherwise.

The 2 movies The Night Stalker ('72) and The Night Strangler ('73), then the series Kolchak: The Night Stalker ('74-5), only lasted one season so didn't have time to suck. Also 70's cop show Police Story is solid throughout.

I recently rewatched the original Law & Order and thought it stayed solidly good through the first 9 seasons. Just stop once you get to season 10, which was the first post 9/11 season. The quality drops like a stone.
Yeah it doesn't fit your criteria of a show staying good all the way through, but that's still a lot of show to watch.
Oz stays good aside from a little bit. I'd still say all the seasons are good.

I completely agree with you that Columbo is a better show than Kojak; but it doesn't maintain its quality. 70s Columbo is probably the best TV show ever made, 80s and 90s Columbo is solid and I heartily recommend it; but its not on the same incredibly high level of the original run of the show.
Severance, though watch it before season 2 comes out and ruins it.

Gunsmoke and it has 20 seasons.
The show has its ups and downs and not every episode is incredible; but its a great solid well acted western series the whole way through.
