Obviously the Byston Well stuff was real because of the Upper Earth war, everyone actually witnessed it all, and Show Zama became a famous name in the world, but probably Chum was just doing silly Ferario things around Zelana and she made up stories about her riding the mechs with Show.

Dunbine is not only one of the greatest isekai anime, but also one of the ONLY genuinely great Isekai shows there is. A very low bar for that genre but it is easily in the top 5 of it. Yeah.

As far as I can recall she has no way of getting back to Byston Well either so she has absolutely nothing left and she’s stuck in an alien world that sees her as some freakish abomination. If anything she lost because at least the others got to be reincarnated
