>Black Adam Black Adam-ing everyone in Dark Crisis and having his face morphed into Dwayne Johnson because of the latter's ego
>Barbara remaining as Batgirl at the expense of her successors for a movie that will never be released for tax purposes.
>Amanda Waller and Deadshot being killed off in Arrow for the Suicide Squad Movie. Deathstroke would also later be banned from appearing in spite of being made an integral part of the shows plot.
>Wonder Woman and Batman's rogues (outside Greek Gods) not being able to be used in Justice League Unlimited because of the Nolan movies and a Wonder Woman movie that never got made
>The Batman cartoon being banned from using Two Face, Rhas Al Ghul, Scarecrow, and initially Joker because of the Nolan films

What's with DC character embargos? That's so stupid
Same reason Wonder Woman couldn't show up in The Batman or the lack of adult heroes in Teen Titans IIRC

because the people who run DC are stupid and can't fathom the general public understanding that the same character can appear in two different unrelated things in different mediums

It's a Warner Bros problem; they treat each of their properties as though they were completely separate companies not tied under the same umbrella.
Like, the guy who made OK KO said that he had to ask for PERMISSION to use Hanna Barbera sound-effects in the show. Never mind that Cartoon Network Studios is literally the successor company to Hanna Barbera; they're two wholly separate entities as far as WB is concerned.

        >can't fathom the general public understanding that the same character can appear in two different unrelated things

Yep. It's peak moronation that's caused various DC media to suffer. They legit don't want Batman to appear in TV shows because they think it dilutes his brand, but are perfectly okay with there being 2 different fricking batmen in the movies.

People like to blame Snyder for the way the DCEU turned out, but I seriously think there's more proof that the execs are to blame than Snyder.

This is ALSO why Cartoon Network fricking hates airing anything made by Warner Bros Animation Studios, and tries to kill it by wrecking its airing schedule. Because Warner Bros as a whole considers Cartoon Network and Warner Bros Animation Studios to be separate entities, and Cartoon Network, as a result, has to pay a fee to air anything from WB Animation Studios.

This, despite them both merely being subdivisions of a single company.

Pic related, this is why Cartoon Network worked so hard to kill DC Super Hero Girls, because it was a WB Animation Studios production.

    >Deathstroke was the villain in the cancelled Batfleck movie. As a result, he was set up as a Batman villain in merch and showed up as Batman's main villain in beware the Batman (and by proxy DC Super Hero Girls).
    >Star-Lord

      >Star-Lord gets a new helmet that shows his face because the artist wanted his face to be emotive at all times

a lot of super heroine costumes were realistic-ized or desexed in the comics for the expressed purpose of making them more "cosplay friendly"

And probably one the biggest examples of shit done in comics just for the hope of it being used in a movie was Ultimate Nick Fury

Worst part is 616 black Fury is a b***h homie compared to Movie Fury and especially Ult Fury who was almost as based as the original

I think the trend of costumes being stylized to be cosplayable or realistic or taticool or whatever you wanna call it is a separate thing from Bendis taking over Guardians and hoping the movie would take stuff from his run.

And probably one the biggest examples of shit done in comics just for the hope of it being used in a movie was Ultimate Nick Fury

Ultimate Nick Fury was a weird example because Sam Jackson let them use his likeness literally on the stipulation that they let him play the role in a movie if it ever came up, it just so happened that 5 or so years later they were making Iron Man and he was able to call their bluff. and now he's made enough money to buy his own island or something. Pretty smart, honestly.

Also for Guardians the newest run re-synergizing them after they just got two runs trying to de-synergize them
      >previous team is just wiped and forgotten, replaced with movie team
      >also now in movie-adjacent outfits
      >they're also outlaws or something now even though they've never really been that

I'm just saying that, if they actually wanted Sam Jackson Fury in the 616, there were far dumber ways to do it than "White man somehow father's the blackest man alive".

Blame Marvel when they made Ultimate in first place and were desperate for him to be Fury, since Ultimate was literally their Cinematic Universe.

The Ultimate line came out way before they started production on Iron Man, and do NOT believe that they've had the MCU roadmapped since then. Nick Fury showing up at the end of Iron Man was literally just a funny easter egg sort of thing.

We also go stuck with a "discount Ironman" version of Ray Palmer for multiple seasons because the writers were setting up adding Ted Kord to the show only to be told at the last second Blue Beetle was off limits due to some potential project another studio was shopping around.

On the plus side, that same sort of management saved us from the show's writers later attempt to turn Arrow's unlikable super hacker girlfriend into Oracle.

Oh, remember when they tried to bring CW Felicity into comics?
Or better still, remember when they brought the CW's black Batwoman into comics before the show even came out, treated her like she's a big deal confident they have a 100% hit on their hands, and then the show is a flop ratings-wise and dies after three (technically two, since the black Batwoman didn't exist until season 2) seasons so she was never heard from again?

        >Peter got fricked hard by Morlun
        >Lost his eye, fingers, health and so on
        >Morlun tries to kill him and even breaks mary jane's arm, to a point she almost loses said arm.
        >Peter wakes up and morphs into ole Spider Monster, and kills morlun.
        >Aunt May and Mary Jane watches peter leave for he is pretty much dying.
        >Before he dies, he builds a cocoon where he will rest beneath Brooklyn bridge
        >Turns out peter died that day, and he was reborn as a perfect fusion of a human and Spider, thus becoming the perfect spider man.
        >Spider totem was also the reason of that since he was always the chosen one, until SLOBB retconned him out of spite and put silk as the real perfect spider being.
