He expressed some minor Wrongthink on social media and wouldn't castrate himself and go into exile in the desert as apology, so
his character was brought back with another actor, tortured to near-death including by having his implant-side eye slowly and graphically ripped out of his face in full view, then got mercy-killed by Seven.

This is of course in no way an expression of the writers' publicly-expressed antipathy towards the character's original actor. Total concidence. Stop nooticing.

Ralph Dibney's actor in The Flash had some really dumb shock joke comments surface from like 2010, which he apologized for, but they had his character get horribly maimed and burned in an explosion as a way to write off the character, so the last we see of him is a guy heavily wrapped in bandages, being unable to speak past muffled sounds, having another character explain for them that they're going away to live in another city with their girlfriend now.

Also to note about that, Iris's actress said a LOT worse on social media, much more recently than he did, and was full of (ngl pretty based) lgbt troony and gay bashings full of YWNBAW-tier insults, but she got a pass because she's a black woman. The funniest bit about that is that she was actively trying to get fired from the show and was hoping that this would also get her written off, but instead they tried to give her even more plot involvement, and it led to her just phoning everything in and have her entire mood set to pissy b***h, and even then they still wouldn't fire her. All she managed was to be heavily reduced during a season, and then had her come back for the last season since it had it's episode count halved.

Meanwhile, the voice actors for Bluey never even met each other until last year because they were recording from different parts of the country/continent. There's literally no reason for voice actors to have to travel, and this story reeks of covering up some sort of other workplace friction.

Yes. No matter how hard your gender studies teacher was cry-screeching in empowerment at the time she told you words are violence, they're not. Mockery is not abuse. The internet is not real life. Cyberbullying can't exist on a platform where you can fully block anyone at any time for any reason. Online spats are not the same as the statutory rape that is the norm in homosexual circles according to homosexuals themselves. Siding with someone you know personally in your experience as a good individual over a stranger's unproven allegations heard about third-hand from randoms on the internet isn't merely understandable, it's an absolutely and undeniably correct response for any normal person.

Further, after Rapp reached out to Intiraymi and they spoke in private, Intiraymi publicly apologised for the initial remarks. This was long before Icheb was even being considered for inclusion in Season 2, but it didn't matter, because you and your homosexual morality police had already determined he was a Wrongthinker, so deemed his apology insufficient as it wasn't accompanied by a complete abandonment of his entire personality and politics plus the demanded level of self-flagellation.

But even if he *was* a monstrous arsehole, a complete c**t, an absolute wankstain of a human being by reasonable standards rather than only in the minds of terminally-online morons - that doesn't change the fact that sane, rational, functional human beings don't create literal torture-porn symbolically tearing out someone's eyes in response to disagreement.

tldr; I'd tell you to eat shit, but as an obvious poofter that's a normal Saturday evening for you, so kindly just frick off and die instead.

Actors clearly had a lot of concessions to come back and do Picard. Maybe Jeri Ryan wanted this scene for posterity and also because Manu Intestine seemed like an insufferable child actor to work with. I bet this is Jeri Ryan's fault.

Because I've seen enough remake nonsense to know at this point it's not worth bothering with. Not exclusive to Trek. But really for me it was some scene in Discovery where a ship was doing these spinny moves popping in and out of warp to take out some enemy ship, I knew it wasn't worth watching there. Not only looks stupid but completely retcons Picard's backstory and the "Picard Manuever" storyline.

The killed Garrett Wangs character multiple times, left him an incel and ensign, and never let him direct an episode which most main cast got to do. All because he was late a lot, which isn’t nothing. It’s disrespectful and unprofessional. He deserved forever ensigndom

              >and never let him direct an episode which most main cast got to do. All because he was late a lot,
I heard them talk about that on their Delta Flyer podcast. And it made me side with mr Wang even less. Because Robert Duncan McNeill was the first VOY cast they let direct. And Robbie went to Juilliard and had been a working actor for like a decade before VOY. He WANTED to get into directing, interested in it. And before the producers even let him direct, he would stay late with the production crews. Camera, lighting, etc. And he also sat in during editing. Because he wanted to learn all these behind the scenes things. So he really earned the opportunity to direct an episode. And all the other VOY actors who wanted to direct had to follow his example and do a sort of crash-course of behind the scenes production before the producers let them. Garrett didn't do that. He never wanted to do that. stay late and learn. But then some time in like season seven he was like 'OK, my turn to direct a 'sode now'. And the producers were like 'nah'. And Garrett probably barely even cared about the rejection at the time. It's probably only really now, twenty years later. And he sees Roxann Dawson and Robert Duncan McNeill have successful directing careers that ne now feels bitter about it and blames the producers for for something that was his own fault

Showing up late is extremely disrespectful given that shooting can be 13-15 hours a day some days. Or some actors have to show up at O-Dark-Thirty to put on obnoxious makeup. Showing up late means some or all of that effort is wasted.

The two most prominent ones are the Spike/Buffy attempted rape scene and the entirety of Cordelia in season 4 and her exit from Angel. Generally, there was a combination of personal dislike and a feeling of being usurped. With James Marsters, he took a guy who had his own traumatic experiences with sexual abuse and had him do a wholly uncomfortable and unnecessarily prolonged sexual assault scene, all because he was mad that the fans resonated with the character and he had to adjust his script around it when Joss originally envisioned him as a one and done villain for season 2. He also had issues with Sarah Michelle Gellar, since she was gaining more influence over the way the production was being run (due to playing the show's namesake) and he felt he had to knock her (and the character) down a peg in the public's perception. His issue with Charisma Carpenter's pregnancy is pretty well-documented, so I won't go too deep into it here besides mentioning that he had her character frick Angel's son to give birth to a literal harbinger of the apocalypse. Given the context of the behind the scenes problems, it's so bold-faced it hardly qualifies as a metaphor.

It was one of the best examples of NuTrek shit, imagine 90s Trek where one main character just murders another because they're too injured to be saved.
