I don't care about none of that, but do you guess thinks they really have Allan the Alien say "hole in their armor" instead of "chick in their armor" because Mark is Asian?

They are not Sayians, they are based on DC Ancient Kryptonian Empire

Sayians were just barbarian mercenaries that worked for Frieza a real state businessman

Were there kryptonians that were planet conquerors? Because otherwise you're just making the incredibly shallow ass observation that Omni-man is a dark take on Superman, so was Goku funnily enough, which is why the Saiyan comparison is somewhat fitting.

Yeah, as he said, Ancient Kryptonian Empire, a New 52 thing I am pretty sure. Caused so much trouble the blue guys from the Green Lantern Corp had to mindbreak their race to regress back to Krypton so they could commit industrial suicide.

You do know the Invincible comics is 21 years old, right? Viltrumites were revealed as evil tyrants by issue 8, a few years before DC’s New52 even started, Hickman didn’t even know DC would make ancient krypton to be Rome.

He was directly hit by a fricking orbital strike and it just lightly bruised him. At some point you have to question if hitting him hard is really the best option.

He got punched by a fast man's hands and it battered him. Also, while it might not have broke skin, I saw him get hit by a laser and it knocked him around. Him taking damage is pretty inconsistent, but evidence supports hitting him "really hard" is still a good idea.

In the comics Viltrumites weakness is their eardrums/high frequency sounds.

Curious, does that mean that when Omniman punches something metallic and it falls, making loud noises, he feels a bit of weakness and sensitivity?

S2E2 foreshadowed that is gonna still be their weakness. When Invincible fights the Atlantis Monster, it does a High-Pitch Roar and fricks him up a bit more unusual than previous attacks. Instead of revealing it near the end of the series by Robot's big betrayal/takeover, it seems the show is going to do it near the start.

this will never and can never make sense to me. Stupid writing. The way Thragg dies because his smart molecules were overloaded by multiple types of extreme trauma occuring to them at once and not being able to adapt efficiently to more than one at a time is a far better weakness, but also far more difficult to exploit; as it should be, Viltrumites should NOT be easy to defeat.

They're literally just saiyans without ki powers or tails. They're really strong and really durable, and when they come close to dying they get stronger when they heal. That's it, they can still be killed by any conventional means IF it manages to overcome their natural durability. Space Freddie died because Mark shoved him in the sun and didn't let him get out in time, that's it.

It's not really the sound itself that hurts them, it's the fact that they managed to identify a specific frequency that would wreak havoc on their biological sense of equilibrium, since they found that in Viltrumites that's a particularly sensitive part of their anatomy as a result of the way their flight ability functions. I'm not saying it makes perfect sense or anything, but it is a bit more thought-out than "loud sound make big stronk alien big hurty". Whether the show actually ends up communicating that well is still yet to be seen, but the way they decided to foreshadow it in the Atlantis episode does not inspire confidence in me.

Not really. Only similarities are being an unstoppable authoritarian force that isn’t a comprised singular god. Archons in the Gnostic lore still have a demonic aspect to them that are seen as pure evil, while Viltrumites are just brute forcing their way into being the apex life form of their entire universe by any means possible. The Alpha Draconians of UFO conspiracy lore are much closer to Viltrumites role in complete control of most galaxies through sheer violence and deception.

I think there is a demon aspect to the Viltrumites in that they are an inversion of everything that is beautiful, like justice, peace, harmony, etc. They subvert my mimicking beautiful language like stability, but it comes at a cost: destruction and genocide. There is no light in the Viltrumites, only darkness. If there is, by any chance, light, it is suppressed by their hate, brutality, and negativity.

    >Are the viltramites from the franchise akin to the archons from gnosticism?

They're like Saiyans & Kryptonians mixed together.

Allen the Alien gets stronger with each NDE he recovers from; kinda like DC's Doomsday.

The rest of the Viltrumites only get stronger with Age & Training; except that one time when Thragg & his two bug-kids nearly kill Mark as well as his wife + daughter; but then Atom-Eve does her NDE God-Mode to revive them 3 and Mark comments he feels stronger post-revival.

Nah, the Viltrumites are simply tye Apex predator of the universe that want to prove their might and remake the Galaxy in their image. The Archons from gnosticism are troopers, fallen angels created by Yaldabaoth to trap souls in the fake material world. The two are not the same.

It was kino, I don't see the show vesion being very good honestly.

For one thing, the fact that we definitely WILL NOT see all the other Image heroes getting involved and trying to help stop the evil Marks is going to remove a lot of what made it cool. I also don't see any way I'm going to give a flying frick about Rex's sacrifice considering the show version is a completely unlikable dick who doesn't resemble the comic version in any way.
