WHY ARE THEY ADDICTED TO T&J CHUCK JONES CARTOONS!? There are a lot of other Tom And Jerry cartoons other than Chuck Jones, most likely because he was “legendary".
If you think metv airs alot of chuck jones, they've also been airing alot of famous studios Popeye for some reason even more than the chuck jones era tom and jerry. It's like Famous studio is their favorite era and thinks that Fleischer stuff only has black and white stuff in it.

I watch ME-TV and I think Woody Woodpecker and Buzz Buzzard have a better dynamic than the others. Tom and Jerry, Popeye and Bluto is so hilariously lopsided. Woody is established to be nuts or evil making it satisfying when his rouges one up him.
As for Chuck Jones. A lot of his stuff is inoffensive and bland, which is why it gets more play. It's odd because McKimson has better characters. The women are domineering, but they're turbo stacies cause of the voice. Chuck Jones is just sentimental or just don't fit. Even more so since Early WB Porky shorts felt so comfy

Supposedly, Chuck Jones was a turbo autistic who got fired for working on WB and UPA contracts. Avery got fired too but never went back caused WB was the poorgay of animation and everyone lived in the ghetto of WB studios

No. It's more MGM is super long animation. Harman and Ising makes 6 minutes feel like 30 minutes.

WB either has the rights (or has access to them, I don't remember) to the Fleischer Popeye shorts that aren't public domain
25 Famous Studios Popeye shorts fell into the public domain, which might be why MeTV is airing them.
Looking at the listing it looks like their airing the non-PD Famous Studios shorts
Maybe it's just a cheaper broadcasting deal? I did look at an old schedule from June 2023 and it seemed they were also airing Fleischer shorts:
