i like music documentaries that don't bother with the cult worship of musicians, the director of this didn't seem to have a problem pissing everyone off to get to the bottom of kurt whereas most people in the entertainment industry would just make a nice puff piece and tread lightly around kurts family and courtney love, just to get the interview

also, post itt who you think did it

    >also, post itt who you think did it

    >family history of suicide
    >well documented journal entries and interviews about suicide and death since he was a teenager
    >chronic stomach pains and bipolar disorder that went undiagnosed and untreated for years
    >unstable family as a child, unstable family as an adult
    >heroin addict who OD'd several times
    >multiple failed attempts at rehab
    >constant media scrutiny about his addiction and personal life
    >literally attempted suicide in Rome a month before he shot himself
    >literally had a friend buy him a shotgun for "protection"
    >literally wrote a suicide note that morons convinced themselves was about his retirement from music

Gee maybe just maybe he did it

why did courtney have the suicide note in her purse too though? she was practicing his handwriting, specifically the last part of the note

this also. the poster you replied to clearly wasn't even a fan, which would explain his lack of facts like how Rome wasn't even a suicide attempt

Rome was most likely not a suicide attempt but simply an accidental overdose from mixing rohypnol with alcohol. In fact the only person who claimed it was a suicide attempt is Courtney.

      >"In studying the Rome incident, journalists Ian Halperin and Max Wallace contacted Dr. Osvaldo Galletta, who treated Cobain after the incident. Galletta contested the claim that the Rome overdose was a suicide attempt, telling Halperin and Wallace, "We can usually tell a suicide attempt. This didn't look like one to me." Galletta also specifically denied Love's claim that 50 Rohypnol pills were removed from Cobain's stomach."

Kurt's suicide note recovered at the scene of his death reads more like a draft letter (Kurt had many draft letters in his journals that he never sent) announcing the dissolution of Nirvana. At that point he had already told his bandmates that he was firing them and breaking up the band. And of course there's the extra lines at the end directed at his wife and daughter which could very easily have been added by Courtney herself as she had been practising her husband's handwriting (as confirmed by the Cobain family lawyer Rosemary Carroll). Seriously, who the frick practises their spouse's handwriting if not for forgery? It's well documented that Kurt was planning to divorce Courtney.

        >Courtney combs his scribbles from various notebooks for something that conveniently resembles a suicide note
        >practices his handwriting to add the "I love you" part at the end
        >hires a private detective to find Kurt
        >also hires a hitman at the same time to find Kurt but to kill him with an injection of heroin and once he's good and OD'd, lay him down and shoot him in the head with the shotgun belonging to Kurt that the hitman somehow found in the house I guess, leave the Courtney manufactured suicide note, scatter cigarette butts, a can of root beer, and a box of heroin paraphernalia
        >this all occurs undetected by the private detective, Kurt's friend Dylan, and two junkie friends that were in and out of Kurt's house during his last days
        It all adds up

          >this all occurs undetected by the private detective,
except...it doesn't? look up the name tom grant, what are you even commenting on the case for if you don't know the story of the PI she hired to help solve the missing person case which later flipped and dedicated his entire life and reputation to exposing her, despite knowing full well how litigious record companies could be

I'm aware that all the peculiarities are documented by Tom Grant after the fact, what I'm asking is why hire a PI and a "hitman" at the same time to find Kurt if she intended on having him killed? If they're both looking for him, wouldn't that risk the two parties running into each other?

              Anonymous

you hire a PI for the same reason you forge a police report, to make it appear like you're making an effort to look for your 'missing' husband, who actually just wants to divorce you and take your money and kids probably

I understand that, but read the post you replied to.
In the timeline of events, Tom Grant was actively investigating the whereabouts of Kurt during the time that the supposed hitman that Courtney hired would have been hunting Kurt down, killing him, then setting up the suicide scene in Kurt's house. You know, the place where a private investigator would be most likely to visit.

i dont think whoever killed him, if anyone killed him, hunted him down though. it was probably more like he showed up at his house and shot him, then fricked around with the body or crimescene. it even makes sense to lie to the PI and say kurt wasn't at the house, since it means he would be looking anywhere but the house, which is where an alleged murder was taking place

i dont know enough specific details about the timeline of events to comment though, i just find it so suspicious and bizarre that the PI dedicated his life to trying to either ruin courtney loves life, or solving a murder she got away with. not sure which one

I mean yeah, that could have happened, sure, Courtney misdirecting the private investigator to keep him away from the house while the murder was happening. A lot of things *could have* happened to make the murder conspiracy make sense *probably*. In this version though, it just makes Tom Grant look like an idiot.
It's really not worth dragging this on and arguing with everyone that's convinced that junkie blabbermouth Courtney Love got away scot free with murdering the most famous musician on the planet. Most are so fixated on things like a shotgun shell placement or armchair experts about toxicology that they fail to see a more logical, bigger picture. Or maybe it's just a personal thing, it makes them feel better to think that Kurt didn't kill himself.

perhaps. all im saying is reasonable doubt could be raised and the initial case was botched because of celebrity pandedmonium media attention, probably. which sucks, since kurts family deserves to have a regular police case for their son like everyone else would get

      yeah
nick broomfield, the director, tended to make actual documentaries about issues way more important than music before making this, so i guess he just didn't give a frick about the entertainment industry at all and was happy to piss people off to get the actual story

i dont know how anyones able to hear the conviction in that mans voice and not think he did it or was asked to by courtney love at least

Yeah that guy always stuck to me, especially since most theories didnt involve a hit until that documentary came out from what I remember. At the very least he was offered the money to do it. He would have nothing to gain by lying about it

people also forget its very easy to extort or intimdate people, even and almost especially famous people. its possible courtney just mentioned offhand to kurt during the divorce that she had scary trailer park friends to kurt, attempting to imply stuff just to scare him and get him back, and then he got spooked and got a gun. then she actually went through with it because she's way more clever than him? who knows

the story itself, especially the fact that she filed the missing person report under kurts mothers name, will never add up. it could be just regular insane junkie behaviour, but so is shooting people and getting away with it

I just started looking into el duce and apparently he took a polygraph and passed recounting his offer from courtney but then a week after recording the interview he died by getting run over a train, with the possibility of it being a hit job. Who knows? Musicians know each other and i imagine at the time they would be more close knit and keep ties with former friends desperate enough to make a quick buck

    >“I’m a fan of rap music but most of it is so misogynist that I can’t even deal with it. I’m really not that much of a fan. I totally respect and love it because it’s one of the only original forms of music that’s been introduced. But the white man doing rap is just like watching a white man dance. We can’t dance, we can’t rap.”

He did it to himself. Kurt was a chronic attentionprostitute who was running out of options. Everyone in Aberdeen knew him as an annoying homosexual. He would lie about fricking a moronic fat girl or spraypaint edgy slogans around town, and that was when he wasn't being a lazy pothead NEETing off his obese gf. He had severe daddy issues, which would explain his undying commitment to being a male feminist of all things. Nirvana gets famous and his ego grows to unforseen size. He virtue signals in interviews all the time while being addicted to heroin and writing defeatist nihilist bullshit that just so happens to speak to any 14 year old unfortunate enough to hear it. He could have very easily turned his life around if he really wanted to. There are guys who would kill to be in that position, but Kurt wanted to act like some traumatized homosexual instead, so he blew his head off and left his daughter without a father.
