I liked the original story. The idea of Satan pulling a switcharoo and corrupting all of Christianity is a pretty interesting concept, plus the idea that they make you have a nice day rather than being a physical threat themselves is all pretty cool... But I HATE the visuals. I've tried watching it but it's so silly, though I can't deny that I get some of why it may be scary to people. Now I hear he's removed the suicide aspect? That was one of the coolest bits because, again, it makes it a mental horror rather than a physical. If that's true, then they're just big scary monsters like everything else. This story may have been better for a novel or comic.
Something that sucks about online creation is that you got a bunch of people in your ear trying to pressure you into changing things, he is too young to be trying this out. Not because he's somehow less mature or less intelligent but he's still in a sponge age and others opinions are gonna influence you more then. I hope when he's older, he comes back to this with more confidence. Already rebooting is a very bad sign and will make curious studios less likely to continue looking into you if they can't trust that you can get from point A to B. Studios don't wait for you, publishers don't wait for you and even fans don't. He needs to focus on finishing the story and sticking to a style because he honestly didn't give good enough reason to change it as much as he did.

Analog horror is always shit. The initial concepts can be kind of spooky but when they try to expand on it to cash in on the interest they always frick it up and make it the most unscary goofy ass looking garbage imaginable
